I founded "Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company— Galazan" in 1975, obtaining my FFL in the same year. Our initial focus was on used shotguns, with a particular emphasis on shotgun gauges and replacement parts for vintage shotguns. My background as a tool and die maker, influenced by my father's expertise, played a significant role in this endeavor.
Currently, we operate out of our third location, spanning over 120,000 sq ft. We take pride in manufacturing a diverse range of shotguns, including the AH FOX, Model 21, A10, GALAZAN Over and Under, Side by Sides, RBL’s, Christian Hunters, Inverness, Revelations, and other models. Our journey began with the production of the Galazan O/U shotgun and the Fox shotgun. In 1995, we acquired the Winchester custom shop for the Model 21, following years of collaboration. Subsequently, Remington approached us for the Parker project, benefiting from the executives' preference for our guns. Over the years, we've supplied guns to various major companies, offering technical support and even designing unique guns for them, earning numerous awards. We've ventured into crafting distinctive firearms, such as .22 caliber double rifles.
Our portfolio includes over 3,000 products exclusively related to high-end shotguns, many of which are unique and exclusive to us. As a fully integrated company, we design our guns, employ our engineers, produce tooling and fixtures, conduct prototyping and testing, and manufacture guns with our components. While this approach may be expensive, it ensures an uncompromised and superior end product.
In addition to showcasing our manufactured guns in the catalog, we present an unparalleled collection of used guns. We emphasize our vast selection, challenging any claims from competitors in the used guns market. To many of them we are consultants. Some of the notable guns we’ve handled are all three of the Parker Invincibles Shotguns, Ty Cobb's Gun Collection, the Peterson Collection, and the worlds largest inventory of Winchester Model 21’s. We’ve handled more English and European guns than any other dealer in history. With my vast manufacturing experience and study of high-grade guns I don’t know of any entity with as much expertise our company has.

Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company acquired the Model 21 Custom Shop from Winchester/US Repeating Arms Company in 1994 after we completed the remaining open orders of Model 21 shotguns. Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company then acquired the Model 21 Custom Shop tooling, fixtures, parts, and key employees such as Bill Smith and some of their engravers. Ultimately, Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company revitalized this iconic American double-barreled shotgun.
Today, Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company continues to handmake Model 21 shotguns in their original form and expand the Model 21 platform to include 28 gauge and .410 scaled frames, tiny .22 caliber double rifles, and an innovative over/under configuration.

The Model 21 receiver is precision machined from a forging of specially produced proof steel; Connecticut Shotgun utilizes state-of-the-art CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machinery to meet exacting dimensions and tolerances, and only after strict quality control is performed is the receiver released to the master gunmaker for fitting and assembly of the Model 21 shotgun. Additionally, another type of proof steel is used to produce the barrels. These barrels employ a dovetail chopper lump design, universally acknowledged as the method to make the most robust barrels.
Mechanically interlocked barrels are another outstanding exclusive feature in your Model 21. The barrels are locked together by precision fitting dove-tail half lugs on each barrel in such a manner that there cannot be the slightest possibility of even microscopic shifting... not even when the barrels are subjected to the severest stress. If you study the photographs above, you will see how this exclusive “interlocking grip” works.

The frame of our product is crafted from a single piece of specially produced Proof Steel, ensuring durability and reliability. Employing cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing techniques, we meticulously inspect all parts using state-of-the-art equipment after machining. Subsequently, our Master Gunmakers take over, overseeing assembly, part fitting, hand polishing, engraving, and finishing to the highest standards of quality.
Each Model 21 barrel undergoes precise manufacturing, featuring a half-lug machined from a single piece of forged steel. A notable exclusive feature of the Model 21 is its mechanically interlocked barrels. These barrels are securely locked together through precision-fitted dovetail half-lugs, ensuring no microscopic shifting even under the most extreme stress. Take a closer look at the accompanying photographs to understand how this exclusive “interlocking grip” works.
SMALL FRAME
For the small gauge 21’s we have completely engineered a new frame for the 28 and .410. This is exactly a Model 21 in every respect nothing has been changed to accommodate the smaller size. All the parts for Small Frame 21s are unique to themselves and is an exact Model 21. We feel this is one of our greatest achievements. Hunters and shooters that have received these guns are simply amazed at how sleek and elegant the small gauge Small Frame guns are. Extremely limited production.

We have made a Model 21 .22 double rifle, it is even smaller than our Small Frame 28 and .410s. Currently available in .22 Long Rifle & .22 Magnum. Extremely limited production, they are an absolute marvel of engineering. People that have bought .22 caliber Model 21s say that it is the most excitement that they have gotten out of a gun.

The stepped breach face along with the barrel overcupping systems guarantees this gun never has head space issues. A much more difficult gun to manufacture and make but will provide years of trouble-free service and strength.
