Project Art Barcelona aDa Art Gallery and AOMICAT invite all the plastic and visual artists, who wants to participate in a collective exhibition in aDa Art Gallery, Barcelona (Spain). Artistic expressions are potential creative and generate collective well being in a society, they help us to express our values and also join cultures. Is for that, we have start our Project Art with the vision of sensitivity and artistic cooperation. AOMICAT participates and coordinates this activity with the finality of driving an initiative of social project that we are developing. We want to help people with risk of exclusion giving them work and employment. The idea of the social project is initialized with an online shop and later will be converted in a artisan oven, for processing meal in an artisan way. Also will contribute to the selfmanagement model of the association, and also continuing working with the citizens rights, no matter the place of the origin, all have to had the same opportunities. PARTICIPATION This contest is open to individual plastic and visual artists, all different kinds of technics are accepted: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, design, engraving, installation, video creation, performance, and in general all artistic interventions. This open call is for all the visual and plastic artist of anyone nationality. You have to present a project according to this base. DELIVERY _Registration Form. We will not consider incomplete projects, out of deadline or with illegible formats. PROJECTS EVALUATION All the project will be evaluates for a commission formed by: aDa Art Gallery director, a representative designed by AOMICAT association and two personalities of the art and culture world. The committee will examine each of the proposals presented, studding the viability and quality, they will decide the best selection and will evaluate the most interesting projects for the exhibition in aDa Art Gallery. The process of selection and evaluation will start the 13 of January 2014 and the final results will be announced in the website of aDa Art Gallery http://adabcn.blogspot.com.es/, and AOMICAT http://aomicat.blogspot.com.es/ the 24 of January 2014.
FINAL RESULTS Selected artists will be contacted by email or phone. Every artist will formalize the participation in the exhibition paying an inscription of 40 euros. This money will be invest to the expenses of the Gallery and to the social project of AOMICAT www.aomicat.es . The projects will be exhibited in aDa Art Gallery from the 8 to the 22 of February 2014. The inauguration of the exhibition will take place the 8 February 2014 at19.00 hrs. We will realize a virtual catalogue with all the selected projects of the artists and will be published in different websites. AWARDS We will give two awards, one award to the best project or work by the jury, and one popular award by Facebook during the days of the exhibition. In Facebook you can vote between the 8 of February at 19 p.m. and the 21of February. The jury will decide also the possibility of give mentions depending on the quality of the projects and works presented. The ceremony of the awards and certificates will take place on the 22 February at 19 p.m. The two winners will make an individual exhibition in aDa Art Gallery during one week, dates will depend of the availability of the artist and the gallery. SELECTED ARTIST Selected artist have to send and move away their works to the Gallery in the selected dates according to the assembly and disassembly of the exhibition. PROPIERTY AND RIGHTS Participants recognise having the copyright of their works and also having the author’s rights. As a participant you have to accept that the images can be used to spread the exhibition. All the works can be modified by the organization of the contest with the finality of adapting them to the different formats of the publications. Participation mean the acceptation of the bases and resolutions of this contest. NOTES aDa Art Gallery and AOMICAT reserve the right of changing the bases of the contest (dates, juries, requisites), for improving the contest and for the benefit of the participants.
