Gallery M&Art agents history begins with a physical private gallery in Lund in 2012 and later in Ystad, Sweden that Marcus Carlsson owned for five years. Gallery worked with contemporary art and many talented artists asked about promotion because they didn’t know how to be more recognizable, to sell art-works, and to communicate with collectors and galleries. This is the starting point of his mission to help out other artists with promotion.

Article by Gavriella Abekassis | The Artist Entrepreneur Club Instagram: @gavriella.sell.your.art.online Join the Artist Entrepreneur Newsletter: https:// outofthecube.substack.com/ Dear Artist Entrepreneur, How are you? Today, I am off! A year ago, I wouldn’t have been able to at all. So I wanted to share this win with you. If having freedom when it comes to your time is something you want, I want to encourage you to get to a place where you actually have more freedom, and where you can organize your time as you wish. Today newsletter’s title is not as fully positive as I like them to be. It’s tough love! The good news is that if you improve these, you will improve your online sales. Ready? Let’s get started! The rst reason which is preventing you from selling is: lacking consistency on social media.

It just won’t work if you show up once a month. I would recommend posting on social media once a day. However, it’s just a recommendation. If that’s too much for you, start smaller. Twice a week, and then, once you feel more comfortable, increase your presence. A good way to stay consistent is to plan in advance. No more I don’t know what to post today! In the Artist Entrepreneur Club, I also help you with the types of posts your clients need to see. The second reason is that you don’t know who are your potential clients.

fi

If you’re selling to everyone, you’re selling to no one. Everyone buys art, but not everyone is going to buy the same kind of artworks. Or everyone would be buying your artworks. It’s important – no, essential – to know who you want to sell art to. Then, you can adjust your content and your messaging, and when they discover your account, they know that it’s a place for them. They know that you are here to help them. How am I helping people by selling art?! That’s exactly why you need to define who you want to sell to, so you also define why they want your artworks. When people buy your art, it’s never to allow you to have more room in your house. It’s because they want it, for a specific reason. Once you decide this, you implement it in your marketing. This way, people for who it is true, will feel like you have read their mind. If you are in the Artist Entrepreneur Club, we now have a Trello Board called Define and find your ideal client, which you can use to define who you want to sell to, but also take action and implement it in your marketing. I am so excited about it! The third reason is that you are trying to sell to your screen.

Remember that the screen, your website or your social media is like an advertisement or a vitrine. If you just post without building relationships at the same time, the only person who is going to ©

react is… Well, it’s not a person. It’s your screen. And that’s not who you want to sell your artworks to. So let’s improve this! People might – they will actually – want to get to know you first, before buying your artworks. You can introduce yourself via your posts. The best way for them to know you is to have conversations and a relationship with them. They know that they are not buying from an Instagram account but from a human being. They need this person to make themselves known. Write personally to your followers and potential buyers. It’s not salesy, it’s important so your efforts to sell get results. If you knew the number of time having a conversation has changed the deal. I don’t even mean a tricky conversation. Just a hello to a potential client who you can see has been looking around, can make a big difference. But again, don’t forget my first point, just like posting, you shall interact consistently. So now, this newsletter might have been harsh, and I’m sorry if this has offended you – definitely not what I’m trying to do here! Try to read my advice from a positive point of view. Don’t feel discouraged, it’s the opposite that I wish for you. I hope that now you know more about how to make a change in your marketing, so you can sell more artworks online. Can you feel the sale, almost tangible between your hands? Yes, you can. It’s in your hands. You can do this! Have a beautiful week Gavriella GAVRIELLA ABEKASSIS | THE ARTIST ENTREPRENEUR CLUB If you would like me to support you with your sales, this is the best way at the moment: Artist Entrepreneur Club You can join the Artist Entrepreneur Club, in order to grow your sales of artworks online, by having access to weekly business training, and support from me and from a wonderful group of around 70 business-minded artists, for £25 / month. ©

Nicola Barth Germany

Why you start work as an artist? "There is indeed a world behind this world. And it's constantly moving. As a philosopher without words, I try to make milk glass permeable." I studied german literature (and theatre, film and television, and psychology) and wanted to write myself at some point. I was thinking of poetry and prose and novels and not yet paintings, sculptures, and digital photography. But then I realized, that I had to exchange the pen with the brush because what I want to understand and explain is so complex that I cannot express it in words. We can not think the world to the end, it is not to be grasped by the mind. Language is usually unambiguous, is controlled by the mind and lifts us to a conformist level. Painting, on the other hand, deviates from the norm. It leads from the deep into the depth of an experience of being, it is a more open form of communication, which is grasped with other senses and leaves more room for manoeuvre and freedom. Here it is about experiencing and not understanding.

What do you select your subject matter? "When everything is loose and in constant movement, everything reacts with everything else, everything finds itself constantly in a process, there is nothing really finished, and when time and space are only fixed ideas, then deception and change are confusion and chance.“ There is a big theme over all my works and that is morphology, transformation and development processes. This development, transformation and shape change in turn often takes place "invisibly" for us in rooms and worlds behind, on meta-levels, in spaces that are none (in the actual sense). And then there might be a form of communication (language and written language) that could be quite different from anything we know. This thoughts can sometimes make you dizzy. I paint against the dizziness, because "being one with" (resonate) is a way to resist the chaos. This thoughts, the fast pace in our society and the rapid digital progress demands a stop, a standstill, a contemplation to get behind. I remain to stopp and make visible. My analog answer is painting/making art.

©

gallerym.se

How do you create one of your works/ What´s unique or unusual about your technique/process?

In painting I do what others do., I work with pens, brushes, fingers and everything you can dip in paint on canvas and paper. But this happens according to very individual subjective criteria - as a painter you constantly have to make decisions - which color? Which brush? Which stroke to use, to discard, to paint over, to take out, to overlay? This is a subjective choice of means and each time a very individual decision. The multitude of decisions made within the creation of a painting sometimes intuitive, sometimes deliberate - make it distinctive and also unrepeatable. Unique expression of a period of time in which an artist devotes himself to a work. It is always about input and output and the individual „in-between“ that manifests itself in an artistic result. To my mind, an image or a sculpture or even music is a living organism that grows out of itself accompanied by the hand of the visual artist. In that sense, I'm not doing anything special, I'm just doing my thing. And I try to do it as authentically, presently, unadulteratedly and well as I can.

DId you begin with this style, or was it an evolution? Accordingly, my painting has also been a development, so it is not only a matter of development processes in terms of content, but also formally my painting has developed further, it has become more multi-layered over the years. In the origin I am a painter, these are my roots and there I always move back again and again. But as soon as the given frame gets narrow I have to leave and move three dimensionally in space. Then I make sculptures, photograph them, edit the photos digitally and bring them back into a two-dimensional plane. It´s like a trip. I always want to try something new, if I know how a picture or a technique “works” then it get´s boring for me. After all, I want to develop further. This does not mean that don´t take into account everything I´ve learned. Certain well-functioning techniques are incorporated into new work.

These excursions away from the canvas always end up feeding back into my work. (For example, fort wo years I created unique pieces of fashion with four other dreative women. That was a great experience, a bubbling kitchen of ideas and the preoccupation with fabrics, leather, skins does not let me go today and is always found in rudiments, either in my sculptures, or in sewn papers.) Many of my works have to do with transformation also in the process of creation, but that is also logical and conclusive for me, because that's what I'm all about in terms of content.

How would you describe your work? In my non-objective painting I can show a part of understand but desire to understand. I don´t know it as a small subjective section of a large whole constantly in morphological change and I take the cut-out.

what I do not what I paint, but I see process that is liberty of making a

I see my images as an arbitrary frozen still image of something that is in a permanent morphic process. Maybe like a cutout from a single frame in a film reel but even that is not quite right, you still have to imagine the film rolls extended upwards and downwards - and sliced from front to back... and now it´s getting complicated to imagine again and we´re back “On air in the OFF space“ – head turned off...you do not have to understand my painting, best to experience. That's why I also often use cryptic names as titles for my pictures like HONO BADI NISS and DULUSCH ET IGANI they are rather to be understood as a sound or a frequency and are meant to point to the inner idea of things.

Do you learn from critisism of your work? But of course! The artist depends on someone critically examining his work. Art needs a response. I get to know my art a anew through the eyes of others and that is very exciting.

©

gallerym.se

How has social media affected your work? I experienced great intercultural networking among creative people and a movement from I to WE. Borders are falling, the art world is becoming more transparent, and it's much more about the collective idea, collective wisdom. I found some new international sparring partners and I am involved in multicultural projects and networking. I am excited and curious and looking forward to what is coming.

What´s your future plan? I am currently observing the digital art scene....Blockchain, NFT's, multidisciplinary work with partly moving images...exciting! Possibly this could be an add-on to my analogue work - there is a lot to learn here, new horizons and territories are opening up and I am looking to see if and how my work fits in without losing authenticity. With the series "Beings in spaces that aren't spaces", which I started in 2017, the theme of shape-shifting and morphing, I'm already well on track, at least in terms of content. In addition, I have just received a grant from the Hessian Cultural Foundation about which I am very happy and will realize my project "DAS Zwischen Raum Sein"- (The interspace being) . Here it is about the location of the individual between here and there, real and virtual, analog and digital and is thus in the context of my great themes Metalevels, space, Transformation. I will try to work out with a symbiosis of artistic means. I also have several fairs and exhibitions planned for this year, the Swiss Art Expo, Kunstmesse Kassel and MAG Montreux in Switzerland, the Travel Exhibition Water Path by Art Europa in Italy and I am very happy that one of my paintings is selected for the London Art Biennale this year. I have just been invited by the European Cultural Centre to exhibit parallel to the Venice Biennale next year on the theme of "Personal Structures". If I could find financial support and realise a project there, that would be great and a big step forward. I hope so much !!! that it will work out. I am excited and curious and looking forward to what is coming next. Thank you for your interest in my artistic work ! Nicola

Gallery Artplu China

1, Tell us a little about yourself and your background? I’m David Rosh, the founder and owner of Artplu Gallery. As a gallerist, I have more than 10 years of experience in the art industry. For our art business, we have a gallery, an art media and an art hotel. 2, Why do you start art gallery? Firstly, I am an art lover and collector. For my own, I have collected more than 100 artworks. Before I build an art gallery, I have a design company which often collaborates with international designers and artists. I often contact artists from various countries and communicate with them. During this process, I came up with the idea of building a contemporary art gallery. When I shared this idea with artists, I got a lot of

support. So in 2015, with the support of some capital companies, I established Artplu Gallery. 3, How do you see the market today for artists and what does the market look like in China for artists because of Covid-19? China’s art market is the world’s second largest art market after the United States. Because China has been very effective in responding to the Covid-19 in 2020, the Chinese art market has maintained rapid growth and surpassed the United States to become the largest art market. At the Art Basel Fair in Hong Kong, we saw a strong demand for international artworks, and Chinese buyers were very active. This is very rare under the current Covid-19. 4, What to think about now in this situation Covid-19?Do you have any tips for artists?

with

The Covid-19 has affected the circulation of international artworks. Longer international shipping time, stricter international customs clearance, etc. Even in China, we cannot normally participate in various art fairs as in previous years. We can only hold art exhibitions and art events on our own. During this period, we increased the promotion and sales of artworks online, while investing in the new art media. We hope that artists will work with us to use new technologies and new media to promote their artworks and

rebuild a new artwork platform. This is a very efficient method in the current harsh environment. 5, How is your collaboration with Gallery M & Art agents? We maintain a long-term partnership with M&A. M&A has selected many outstanding artists for us. At the same time, we also carry out extensive cooperation in art magazines and other fields.

6, What kind of projects do you have for 2021? In 2021, our new art hotel will be completed and put into operation. Around our art hotel, we will carry out a series of art exhibitions. At the same time, our new art gallery has also completed the site selection, and has started the design work, and will complete the preliminary decoration within this year. So in 2015, with the support of some capital companies, I established Artplu Gallery.

Hella Ridder Germany Artist́s statement: To me the abstract landscape as the individual's ability to turn to the souĺs inner light was the first starting point for artistic considerations. Out of this developed my curiosity about the penetration of emotional states and experiences to which the individual is exposed in the constant confrontation with his environment. To give this emotional being an intuitive expression and to give the viewer access to this respective emotional state in a magical moment of interaction with the work of art and thus a deep penetration of their own individuality is currently the creative drive and inspiration of mine. 01/2021: Azaro Artspace, Hamburg/Germany 03/2021: M.A.D.S., Milano/Italy 04/2021: Radison Blue, Hanover (Solo)/Germany 04/2021: World Art Fair/ Dubai 04/2021: Stage Gallery, Köln/Germany 06/2021: Focus Art Fair, Paris/ Frankreich 06/2021: Galerie Makowski, Berlin/Germany 07/2021: ART MUC, München/Germany 08/2021: Affordable Art, Hongkong/China 09/2021: Volta Basel, Basel/Schwitzerland

1. Why did you start working as an artist? Studying landscape, harmony, proportions by taking photos lead to aiming at a deeper understanding of composition. Fascinated by those images, that we as observers consider attractive, resulted in some first footsteps of mine into the wide and unknown world of painting. In the beginning I used watercolors gifted by my granny, and somewhat later got my first instructions by my grandfather, who had been a studied artist himself. I then got myself be taken away by colors and playing with them. At the age of sixteen I took part in my first group-exhibition, already painting my first abstract pictures. Some of these first tries got the attention of the German artist H. Rötter, who then accompanied my personal development as an artist until around 2001. 2. What do you select your subject matter from? The abstract landscape as the individual's ability to turn to the souĺs inner light was my starting point for artistic considerations.

Out of this developed my curiosity about the penetration of emotional states and experiences to which the individual is exposed in the constant confrontation with his environment. To give this emotional being an intuitive expression and to give the viewers access to this respective emotional state in a magical moment of interaction with the work of art and thus a deep understanding of their own individuality is currently the creative drive and inspiration of mine. 3. How do you create one of your works/What's unique or unusual about your technique/ process? I don`t think that there is something unique or unusual about my technique or my painting process. But at the same time I am convinced, that this isn`t what is needed for the painting to be very special and touching to the observer. The uniqueness of the painting is a quality that mostly arises from my personality as an artist, from the message I am able to deliver with my paintings, from my ability to create a link between painting and observer. Therefore my painting process is nothing out of the ordinary... I start by choosing size an coloring, doing a background and then move on in many layers, until finally I judge the result to be a composition, that’s in true balance of colors, structure and ductus while at the same time is filled by a spirit of emotions that may create this special link between painting and observer, that I aim for. 4. Did you begin with this style or was it an evolution? I turned to abstract painting as an emotionally and intuitively guided means of expression at the age of sixteen. On the solid foundation of artistic training given by my teacher, an individual style and ductus developed quickly, which I geared towards the continuous development of new forms of expression and experiences with the aim of a constant change in artistic creation in abstraction. I am convinced that a constant further development of my style is an absolute must for a lively creativity of my artistic work. 5. How would you describe your work? It is about visualizing emotional status, it is about us as emotional beings, telling this tale of humankind in a language of abstraction 6. Do you learn from criticism of your work? I truly think, that it is impossible to grow as an artist without honest feedback and criticism. At the same time it is about keeping the balance between your own style and identity as an artist and the suggestions for change and development, that arise from criticism.

7. How has social media affected your work? It is much easier to get in contact with other people all over the world, who are dedicated to art themselves, most of whom you would never meet in all your live, art-lovers and -buyers, gallerists, art critics and professors of art among them. That́s an amazing and inspiring basis for an exchange about art. It́s so easy to view the artwork of other artists on social media, to learn from them just by observing there artwork. But since feedback on social media is often driven by the need to gain more followers, one should always keep in mind, that the praising you get on your artwork might not so much be dedicated the work itself, but might instead aim for your reaction, your return-feedback and your following back...

8. What are your future plans? An exciting time after the artistic silence in the corona lockdown is coming up. Life is finally starting all over again. In June there are two group exhibitions in Berlin and the Focus Art Fair in Paris in my calendar, followed almost seamlessly by another group exhibition in Berlin, ART MUC, "Affordable Art Hongkong" and Volta/Basel. In December 2021 I also have Volta/Miami and the art fair at Barcelona on my list. Followed up by Singapore and a solo exhibition in Bonn/Germany next year... But what́s surely more important to me, is to be inspired over and over again and to paint as much as possible. I want to develop myself further as an artist and really hope to achieve that. Keep your fingers crossed.

Biography: Born 1974 in Daun/Eifel and discovered as a teenager, Hella received individual support at an early stage and was accompanied in her personal development by the German artist H. Rötter until around 2001. The artist turned to abstract painting as an emotionally and intuitively guided means of expression during this first creative period. On the solid foundation of artistic training, an individual style and ductus developed quickly, which is geared towards the continuous development of new forms of expression and experiences with the aim of a constant change in artistic creation in abstraction. After spending some years in Istanbul, Rheinbreitbach and Bonn, the artist now lives in Bergisch Gladbach.

Ella Gud Russia

Ella left her native home of Russia at 17 years old, hungry for adventures. She found those adventures living in an exotic country that was full of surprises - China. Growing into an adult in a foreign place brought a diverse set of challenges and complexities. Ella lived about 10 different lives while building herself as an individual - losing everything and picking herself up, fighting for her place in this world, and falling again. She never gave up and always found her own strength to fight, learn, adjust, and win. Losing and building yourself again from scratch, no matter what, regardless of what anyone else thinks, becoming the your true self and relishing in it - that's the main theme which you can see in Ella's art.

María Isabel de Lince Colombia

Sensations My work is based on the direct observation of elements of nature and phenomena that take place in various areas of the planet. Beyond an objective reading, what I do is perceive sensations originated in these phenomena and translate them into a visual language, impregnated with my own experiences. People evolve and are influenced by what happens around them; as our environment changes, our perception of it also evolves. Through the shapes and colors of my painting I seek to eternalize the subtle nuances generated by this wonderful process of human interaction with nature.

- The interest in drawing was motivated by the desire to depict unusual images or states and, at the same time, to experiment with color. Over time, the images began to take recognizable forms close to the material world. Looking at these images, the viewer has the right to establish the plot and its development, even in spite of the name. For the artist, first of all, it is important to find in the picture the connection between energy, color and texture. The result of this search is Spectator Emotion...
