donations of five hundred dollars or more from their friends and family and come celebrate for a few hours at our Superhero Themed Bowl.

Businesses also participate by becoming corporate sponsors for the event and receive marketing benefits in the community. All proceeds go towards expanding the Big Brothers Big Sisters program by matching volunteer mentors with disadvantaged youth in our community.

For more than one hundred years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been defending the potential of young people in communities across the country. Funds brought in through Bowl for Kids’ Sake will help Big Brothers Big Sisters empower, ignite, inspire, and defend the potential of our youth right here in McKinley County!

As part of this fun event, we ask high school art students from Miyamura and Gallup High School to help us by decorating bowling pins. These pins are given away as prizes to our top sponsors, top team fundraisers, top individual fundraisers, and teams with the most spirit on the day of the event.

These pins have become a recognizable and coveted part of our event. We are so grateful to have such talented young people who help us with this project every year. We also are very thankful to Miyamura art teacher, Tine Hayes, and just recently retired Gallup High School art teacher, Deborah Thomas, who have worked with us for many years on this project!
