Heremembersthemomentwhen thepossibilityofrealizingbigdreams becamerealtohim.

“Iwas20,myfirsttimeinL.A.,” hesays.“IgotinvitedtoapartyatP Diddy’shouse,highintheHollywood Hills.Ifeltontopoftheworld—being fromacitythat’sbelowsealevel,I’d neverseenanythinglikeit.Sometimes youcan’tknowwhat’spossibleuntil youseeitforyourself.Thatchanged mylife.”

ChongcametotheUnitedStates whenshewas23andMorrow’s mother,Lenore,was3.“Ididn’teven knowhowtocookthen,”shesays.“I taughtmyself.”

Herdaughterbecameachefand nowheadsthecompany’sculinary program,whichincludestheirfirst restaurant,Morrow’s,whichopened in2018intheMarigny.Theyadded MondayinMid-Cityin2022.
