Florida’s fastest and tallest launch coaster called Jurassic World VelociCoaster will debut next summer at Islands of Adventure, one of the 3 theme parks that make up the Florida resort. Manufactured by Intamin and conceived and designed by the award-winning Universal Creative team in partnership with filmmakers from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, this new ride will be the world’s first coaster based on the blockbuster franchise, and will feature an original story that expands upon the thrills, dinosaurs and environments fans have seen on the big screen. Jurassic World VelociCoaster, il launch coaster più veloce e più alto di tutta la Florida, entrerà in funzione la prossima estate a Islands of Adventure, uno dei tre parchi tematici che costituiscono Universal Orlando Resort. Spanning more than 1,430m of track and reaching heights of over 47m, the coaster will feature 2 pulse-pounding launches, the fastest catapulting riders to over 112kmph in 2.4 seconds, as well as a 360-degree barrel roll right above the Islands of Adventure lagoon, a 47m Top Hat with an 80 degree descent (Universal’s steepest drop), a zerogravity inverted stall which Universal calls “a jaw dropping maneuver that is the first of its kind” and 12 hair-rising seconds of airtime across the duration of the ride. Coaster enthusiasts will be glad to hear that the coaster vehicles will be equipped with lap bars in lieu of over-the-shoulder restraints, offering a more free and open ride experience. With the addition of the VelociCoaster, all 3 of Islands of Adventure’s major coasters – Incredible Hulk Coaster, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and now VelociCoaster – are launch coasters. Intamin, the manufacturer of VelociCoaster have developed a strong relationship with the Florida resort. This is in fact the third ride they supply the Orlando-based Universal property, the other 2 being Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringrotts for Universal Studios in 2014 and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure for Islands of Adventure in 2019.n
