This is the largest single attraction investment made by Playland and signals a bright future for the park. “Playland and Zamperla have a long partnership and their teams started discussions with us over a year ago about their long-term planning and helping them grow the park’s offerings,” added Michael Coleman, Zamperla’s North American Sales Manager. “This year we opened a Gryphon (called Skybender at Playland), which was a huge success and allowed Playland to market the first ride of its type in the world. The next project is the LSM Launch Coaster, which will be a perfect complement the park’s current line-up of rides and attractions.” The new attraction will catapult forward riders at speeds of up to 72kmph over 380m of track. It uses LSMs to accelerate the train in seconds. Moreover, it boasts Zamperla’s brand new Ligthning train, something the industry has never seen before. The most important technical feature of the vehicle, which was unveiled only a few days ago at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, is the aluminum-milled chassis, which is critical for a few reasons. First, it weighs less than almost any other train of this type on the market. Secondly, the chassis is one milled piece so there are no welds. This feature is a game changer for maintenance and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) costs, meaning

Il prossimo progetto è l'LSM Launch Coaster, che completerà in modo perfetto il loro attuale line-up di giostre e attrazioni". Vanta, inoltre, il nuovissimo treno Ligthning di Zamperla, qualcosa di assolutamente nuovo per il settore e presentato solo pochi giorni fa alla IAAPA Expo di Orlando. La sua caratteristica tecnica più importante, è il telaio in alluminio fresato, fondamentale per diversi motivi. Innanzitutto, lo fa pesare meno di quasi tutti gli altri treni di questo tipo sul mercato e poi essendo che il telaio è un pezzo unico fresato non presenta saldature. Questa caratteristica riduce in modo deciso i costi di manutenzione e quelli dei controlli non distruttivi, il che significa per il cliente spendere annualmente meno tempo e meno soldi
