Seeing the beauty in imperfection.

As a designer, working outside of an imposed standard of perfection allows me to go deeper, to see the sense in disorder, to bring dynamism and new perspectives to my work. Imperfection is beautiful.

// PROJ//PROJECT_01 ECT 01 Project Title: AERH Year: 2016 Project Description: This project leads through specific steps in the design process to create engaging and relevant solutions. I proposed a topic, identified its relevant audience and stakeholders, then found, created, and implemented compelling visual elements in a variety of media that work together as a cohesive system. Concept Statement: There is not enough interest in space exploration. This project reveals all benefits of space technology development and develops deliverables to raise the awareness about the issue. Categories: Communication Design, Corporate Identity, Print, Application, Environment Design.

The main idea of creating the VR application is to make users feel involved in space exploration. Registered users can participate in real life space explorations by donating money. The reason for donating is that all newly-explored places would appear in the application for everyone who has the app. The second idea is to have statistics that would provide useful information to be used by developers aimed at keeping users engaged in the process of space traveling. What part of space is the most popular and which is less? By answering these questions, the application can be improved to attract more users.

There are marks on different planets while traveling in space. The user can land on any of them to collect points and explore the environment.

-04 -05

After registering, the user cam activate the virtual reality mode by flipping his or her mobile device and placing it in the VR headset.

After navigating on any of the marks the icon would appear with the general information about the planet.

One of the features is a geocaching. Geocaching is a real-space hunting game. Participants navigate to a specific set of coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache hidden at that location. By collecting the points user can exchange them for a ticket on the Campus Tours.

The app provides a real-time changing environment.

-05

While exploring, the user can enjoy random space events such as supernovas.

Flying around space, the user can land on different planets and enjoy its landscapes. There are different events that happen randomly while space traveling. It can range anywhere from supernovas, sunrises, or a comet. Once a user has landed on a planet, the basic information about the planet appears.

The user can meet other participants while space exploring and chat with them. There would be many people from different countries. With the chat system, the user can share his or her findings and meet new friends.

The idea behind creating a camping tour for the second deliverable is to make an interesting and friendly environment for participants. The building itself is placed far from the city for a clear starry sky and has a clear glass roof to enjoy the panoramic view. It is equipped with professional equipment to observe space. There are astronauts and scientist speakers. Guests can make new friends all sharing a similar interest.

The building has two floors. There is a terrace and hall on the second floor and a registration desk on the first.

// PROJ//PROJECT_02 ECT 02 Project Title: Timeline Year: 2015 Project Description: This course teaches students fluency in their use of visual language. Conceptual abilities are expanded to include command of universal design principles, communication theory and critical skills. Using these skills, students will be taught how to create meaning and understanding from the complex world of information that surrounds us. Concept Statement: Two boxers exchange hits as their significant others watch and support them. While the fighters inside the ring are fueled by adrenaline, their companions share alcohol to cope with their anxiety. Categories: Visual Design, Concept Design, Print, Packaging, Identity.

This assignment focuses on four things: storytelling, information design, artifact creation and vernacular. For this assignment, I have selected an event that could otherwise be described in typical time-base measurements (hours, minutes, seconds). It has a beginning and an end.

While Tony is fighting against his American opponent Joe, his wife is drinking vodka and fighting for him. The timeline is wrapped around the bottle case packaging. It represents the story line from the first round till the end of the match.

// PROJECT //PROJECT_03 03 Project Title: Parallel Universe Year: 2016 Project Description: The book demonstrates visuals in the environment and speaks about how important it is to unleash your imagination. Concept Statement: The book is separated into four explorations, from light to darkness. It demonstrates the many possible ways to use the imagination, and how many treasures are hidden in our habitual world. The body copy explains basic philosophies about life in general. The first exploration represents the light and hidden in shapes characters. By the light I mean something friendly and soft, something that gives the motivation and strength to move forward.

The second exploration goes deeper, it goes into the shadows to search for and find what has been hidden from the eyes. For that section I took pictures and created characters out of the shapes on them by printing and drawing on top of them, using white permanent marker and a black liner.

The main idea of the third exploration is to take a look at the parallel universe by taking pictures in macro focus, printing them and drawing over them, creating the world outside of consciousness.

The fourth exploration is to make photographs I took as close to illustrations as possible in terms of abstraction. To achieve this I drew illustrations on top of photos by using a tablet, which is why that section is called Digital Skull.
