About the Practitioner I was educated in Deptford and Greenwich with study at Goldsmiths College. I gained various City and Guilds to enable me to teach and obtain the NDSF Diploma. Many therapists choose the work they do because they feel drawn to it and I have every admiration for them. It was a natural affinity with flowers and plants that drew me to aromatherapy. In 1998, I aquired the internationally recognised ITEC qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology. I studied further with the City Lit in London. I then achieved the ITEC diploma in Reflexology and the IPTI accredited Thai Massage qualification. I also achieved the ITEC diploma in Aromatherapy. I then went on to study further post graduate courses at the Middlesex School of Complimentary Medicine. My tutors there were exceptional, sharing their knowledge and experiences with me. I gained the Indian Head Massage qualification with Anita Brown and qualified with Andrew Sceats in Thermoauricular Therapy. I recently completed the full Health and Safety First Aid at Work Certificate at Sussex Downs College, after previously holding St John’s Ambulance First Aider qualifications.

A short story of healing..

Thai Massage

A private and confidential consultation with your therapist is important prior to treatment. General questions about your lifestyle and general health will be asked. A treatment plan can then be devised to help you gain the most benefits.

Trained by a Clarins beauty specialist in the use of quality products with essential oils (or indeed your own preparations), a holistic massage will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and beautiful.

Thai massage is one of the arts of traditional Thai medicine. It is carried out in loose, comfortable clothing and consists of pressing, stretching, twisting and joint manipulations enabling you to experience relaxation, peace of mind, happiness, flexibility and an increase of range of movement. Treatment time varies.

Reflexology A relaxing and revitalising foot and hand therapy. Reflexology has certain magical qualities which induce deep relaxation and release stress, allowing the body to heal, nourish and cleanse at optimum levels. Special techniques are applied to the feet or hands where all organs of the body are mirrored in miniature. Many conditions may be helped. Special techniques are applied to help specific problems.

Aromatherapy The gentle art of healing. The use of aromatic materials for healing were known to all the great ancient civilisations. The medicinal properties of plants, trees, flowers, seeds, fruits leaves, roots, bark and resins that are used in aromatherapy today are applied in different ways. This can be by way of massage, inhalation, compresses, baths, perfumes and creams to name a few.

Reiki Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy - the energy that is all around us in every living thing. When this energy is activated for the purpose of healing it will work on the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies and will accelerate the bodies own inate ability to heal. Treatment is carried out in loose, comfortable clothing. Reiki is completely safe and supports other medical and natural healing techniques.

Thermo Auricular Therapy Ear candling originated from the Hopi (Peace) people of Arizona USA. This Indian relaxation ceremony calms the mind and soothes the head and ears. The ingredients of the specially made candles are linen, bees wax, honey extract, Sage, St. Johns Wort, Camomile and Beta carotene (Vit A). The lit candles are placed in one ear at a time for approximately 7-10 minutes. This cleanses and also regulates the pressure system in the inner ear. This is followed by a face and neck massage and a short period of rest. This treatment may help with headaches, migraines, sinusitus, rhinitus, earache and tinnitus.

Maintenance Programme The power of a loving touch supports the body in its own capacity to renew and regenerate itself, preventing the outcome of pains and disease, so just having a ‘maintenance treatment every now and then is extremely beneficial. Anyone can benefit from Reiki healing, it’s suitable for all ages as well as for pregnant women and those recovering from surgery. This powerful method of treatment is non invasive, no pills or lotions are needed and you remain fully dressed during the hour long treatment. After each treatment most people feel extremely relaxed, calm and completely at peace. If you, or someone you know, could do with some TLC, or simply an hour of being totally away from it all, then Reiki could be just what you’re looking for.
