Appleton ReStore’s 5th Anniversary November, 2010 we celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Appleton ReStore’s opening. Since 2005, through the tremendous efforts of the ReStore volunteers, donors and shoppers: • 3.2 million pounds of materials have been diverted from local landfills • 18,000 individuals have donated items to the ReStore • Over 1,000 businesses have donated materials to the ReStore • $100,000 income has been generated through the ReStore’s recycling program • Over $350,000 in product has been salvaged through deconstruction projects • $2.3 million in total sales
