Vigues Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary Roy Vigue and Shirley Remiker celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday June 18th 2011, with a dinner at Schooners restaurant, with family and friends. They were joined in Holy Matrimony at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Maple Grove on June 17th 1961. They have five children and one Foster Son. Linda [Mike-deceased] Semenak, Milwaukee, WI ; Dr. Lori Katz, Johnston, IA ; Louis Vigue, Two Rivers, WI ; Dr. Lisa Vigue [Charlie] Ramirez, Cheyenne, WY ; Leanne Vigue, [Brian] Miranda, Rhinelander, WI ; and Charles [Tina] Carbon, Daytona Beach, FL. They also have 5 Grand Children, Nathanial [Julia] Semenak, Jonny, and Teddy Katz, Charlie Ramirez, Phoebe Miranda. Roy retired from the United States Post Office Two Rivers, WI. After 31 years of service. Shirley retired from the Estran Corp. Two Rivers, WI. They are members of the St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers, WI. , and enjoy life to the fullest while visiting their family and friends.

Kasper Anniversary

Mel and Janice (Popelar) Kasper celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with immediate family and attendants with a dinner at the Manitowoc Yacht Club. They were married at St. Joseph Church in Kellnersville on June 17, 1961, the Reverend Monsignor Kalishek officiating. Children of the couple are Debbie (Tom) Kiel, Whitelaw; Jerry, Orlando, Florida; Ken (Linda), Two Rivers, Wade (Kathy) Reedsville; and Carrie, Kellnersville. Mel retired from Burger Boat Company. He enjoyed playing with several polka bands and the Manitowoc Accordion Club. Jan retired from Natural Beauty Growers, Kubsch’s, and Weber’s of Kellnersville. Grandchildren include Tyler and Gina Kiel, Kayla and Brett Kasper, Riley, Landon, and Ellie Kasper, and Kyle and Krystin Kasper. The couple enjoys the kids’ sporting events, flowers, and good health. Hartlaub-Valukas

School Hill—On October 30, 2010 Branda Hartlaub and Jack Valukas where united in marriage at Holy Trinity Church in School Hill. Parents of the couple are Brian and Pam Hartlaub of Kiel and Glenn and Mary Valukas of Cleveland. Nicole Feldmann, a friend of the bride’s served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included: Rachael Heller, friend of the bride; Jenny Brockway, friend of the bride; Nicole Horn, friend of the bride; Kayla Stocker, friend of the bride; Leslie Bolander, sister of the groom and Stacie Valukas, sister-in-law of the groom. McKenna Andrews, niece of the groom served as the Junior Bridesmaid. The Best Man was Derrick Biebertiz, friend of the groom. Groomsmen included: Ryan Allen, friend of the groom; Jason Lulloff, friend of the groom; Jake Heuston, friend of the groom; Greg Hennings, friend of the groom; Brian Hartlaub, brother of the bride; Todd Bolander, brother-in-law of the groom and Clark Valukas, brother of the groom. Gavin Hartlaub, nephew of the bride served as the Junior Groomsman. Ushers included: Ryan Valukas, cousin of the groom and Marc Winter, cousin of the groom. Brenda is a 2020 graduate of Kiel High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She is currently employed at Kohler Company in Human Resources. Jack is a 2001 graduate of Kiel High School. In 2007 he graduated with a degree in Law Enforcement from the Western Wisconsin Technical College. He is employed as a Correctional Officer at the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department. The couple celebrated with family and friends with a reception at Knox’s Silver Valley. They will honeymoon in Hawaii. WI-5001336061


Goessl Anniversary

Walter and Lorrain Goessl of 825 N. 11th St. Manitowoc celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a gathering of family and friends at their house. Walter Goessl and the former Lorraine Boettcher were united in marriage on June 17, 1961 at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, the late Rev. Shroeder officiated. Children of the couple are Sue (Tom) Preston of Manitowoc, Mary (Joe) Kiel of Manitowoc, Patricia (Keith) Waack of Two Rivers, Joel (Robin) Goessl of Manitowoc, Lynn (Greg) Franz of Manitowoc. They have 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. Walter retired from Eck Foundry in 1999 and is now a volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Lorraine is a homemaker and babysits her grandchildren. Both are members of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. WI-5001337035
