PIERRE MCCORMICK CYBER LEARNING CENTER THE PIERRE MCCORMICK CYBER LEARNING CENTER IS KNOWN AS THE ACADEMIC HEART OF I-HACK. THIS EDUCATIONAL SPACE FEATURES CLASSROOMS, OPEN COLLABORATIVE SPACES, FACULTY OFFICES AND CUTTING-EDGE LABORATORIES WHERE STUDENTS LEARN TO DESIGN TECHNOLOGY AND DEPLOY TACTICS TO PREVENT AND PROTECT AGAINST CYBER ATTACKS. The center advances educational training and technology development to enhance cyber defense across the fields of cybersecurity, cyber engineering, health care, computer-based applications, business management and criminal justice.

CYBER ATTACK LAB

Deploy White Hat Hacking techniques in a controlled environment to ethically simulate and study real-word attacks to prevent them in the future.

CYBER DEFENSE LAB

Learn how to protect digital lives by assessing systems for vulnerabilities, detecting scams and designing solutions against emerging cyber threats using well-established cyber defense tools.

CYBER INNOVATION LAB

Gain hands-on experience experimenting on IoT connected devices to design and build secure data using next-generation quantum-resistant cryptosystems. Learn how to protect security platforms enabled with artificial intelligence and machine learning using cybersecurity.

THE HATCHERY THE HATCHERY IS WHERE STUDENTS DEVELOP AND EXECUTE NEW IDEAS TO PROTECT CYBER INTELLIGENCE IN A COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT INTEGRATES INDUSTRY AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH ACADEMIC CREATIVITY AND LEARNING. KNIGHT STUDIOS 1 Complete interdisciplinary senior design and capstone projects in quiet rooms where business and engineering students can come together to ideate, collaborate and innovate. PROJECT STUDIOS 2 Apply skills and expertise to projects and contract work with external companies while receiving industry training and gaining real-world experience in innovative fields of interest. MAKER LAB 3 Experience rapid prototyping using cutting-edge lasers, laser scanners and an array of soldering tools, as well as video production equipment, sewing and embroidering machines to complete senior design and creative projects. IDEA LAB 4 Explore creative solutions to real-world, societal problems while collaborating with peers, faculty experts and business professionals. Gain research and industry experience to enhance workforce preparedness and career development. NETWORK LAB & GIS CENTER 5 Advance your skills in this high-performing computing center that is home to Extreme Networks’ Extreme Academy and Gannon’s geographic information systems courses. Become proficient in geospatial management and technologies and advance your career through the ExtremeDojo™ online training and certification program.

Here, students and businesses work together to fight real-world cybersecurity threats while using cutting-edge technology. Experiencebased learning by collaboration with community partners is at the heart of the college’s curriculum. We’ve developed an entrepreneurial space within our Center for Business Ingenuity to help you become a successful business owner with the aid of regional and university experts. Some of our students are at the controls of drones or working with advanced robots to simulate laparoscopic surgeries right on campus. Would you prefer to take your learning abroad?
