It's almost impossible to avoid viruses and bacteria, but certain risk factors increase your chances of developing acute respirator y infection. The immune systems of children and older adults are more prone to being affected by viruses. Children are especially at risk because of their constant contact with other kids who could be virus carriers. Children often don't wash their hands regularly. They are also more likely to rub their eyes and put their fingers in their mouths, resulting in the spread of viruses.
a cu t e r esp ir at o r y
People with heart disease or other lung problems are more likely to con t r act an acu t e r esp ir at or y infection. Anyone whose immune system might be weakened by another disease is at risk. Smokers also are at high risk and have more trouble recovering. Diagnosis How is acute respiratory infection diagnosed? In a respiratory exam, the doctor focuses on your breathing. They will check for fluid and inflammation in the lungs by listening for abnormal sounds in your lungs when you breathe. The doctor may peer into your nose and ears, and check your throat. If your doctor believes the infection is in the lower respiratory tract, an X-ray or CT scan may be necessary to check the condition of the lungs. Lung function tests have been useful as diagnostic tools. Pulse oximetry, also known as pulse ox, can check how much oxygen gets into the lungs. A physician may also take a swab from your nose or mouth, or ask you to cough up a sputum (material coughed up from the lungs) sample to check for the type of virus or bacteria causing the disease. Treatment How is acute respiratory infection treated? With many viruses, there are no known treatments. Your doctor may prescribe medications to manage your symptoms while monitoring your condition. If your doctor suspects a bacterial infection, they may prescribe antibiotics.

andhini is the art of tying small dots on fabric with a con t in u ou s t h r ead an d dyeing it. The result is a vibrant and irregular mix of vermillion and saffron, emerald and sapphire or aqua and yellow. Interestingly, the art of tying involves the use of a long finger nail, which is used to pick that portion of the fabric which has to be tied. “Bandhini” derives its name from the Hindi word Bandhan which means to tie. Bandhani is an ancient art practiced mainly in Western India. Earliest evidence of Bandhani dates back to Indus Valley Civilization where dyeing was done as early as 4000 B.C. This is practised in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Sindh, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. They have vibrant colours, arresting combinations, dramatic swirls and twirls. They are called by different names in different parts of India. Bandhani is also known as Bandhej, Bandhni, Piliya, and Chungidi in Tamil and regional dialects. Other tying techniques include Mothra,
Ekdali and Shikari depending on the manner in which the cloth is tied. The final products are known with various names including Khombi, Ghar Chola, Patori and Chandrokhani. Establishments of varying sizes in the entire Kutch belt in Gujarat produce many varieties of Bandhani. This Bandhani style is called as the Kutchi Bandhani, which is also practised in the Sourasthra region of Gujarat. Bandhani tying is often a family trade, and the women of these families work at home to tie patterns. The city of Jamnagar, located in the Gulf of Kutch, in Gujarat is well known for its red Bandhani. The Dyeing process of Bandhani is carried out extensively in this city, as the water of this area is known to give a par ticular brightness to colors, specifically reds and maroons. In Bandhani, different colours convey different meanings, People believe that wearing Red brings good luck to a newly wed's life. Some of the most common designs are -

f you want to stay healthy, start your day with a cup of black tea. Discovered in China about 4000 years ago, it is n o w t h e m o st p o p u lar ly consumed beverage. The benefits of black tea are endless. It has an t ioxid an t s an d ot h er phytonutrients that can help flush out toxins and heal your body. Moreover, it has low caffeine content as compared to coffee.
What Is Castor Oil?
A thousand years ago, the Egyptians u n d er st o o d t h e m ir acu lou s properties of castor seeds. Castor oil is a vegetable oil. It is an extract of the castor seeds. Yes, it can work wonders for your hair. Why Is Castor Oil Beneficial For Scalp?
Castor oil or Ricinus Communis has a high penetrating property. The oil easily seeps into the cuticle of the scalp, replenishing it with all its nutrients and minerals. Castor oil contains omega-9 fatty acids that help moisturize your scalp. Some refer to it as a humectant as it hydrates the scalp for a long time. It is needless to m e n t i o n a h e a lt h y s c a lp i s synonymous with healthy hair. Castor oil, therefore, nourishes your hair too. Eradicates Dandruff:
Dandruff is a result of dry scalp. Applying castor oil on the scalp hydrates it, thus preventing the scalp from drying and flaking. Use castor oil and get rid of your dandruff menace.

Prevents Hair Loss:
Applying castor oil on the scalp stimulates blood circulation. It in turn ensures better nourishment of hair. Therefore, the use of castor oil for a head massage reduces or stops hair fall like magic. It also adds luster to your locks. Use the oil and say goodbye to unruly and dull hair. A regular use can boost your hair growth too. Castor oil also has antifungal and anti-bacterial properties. Its use can, therefore, protect the scalp from infections. Prevention is better than cure, so do not wait to contract a scalp infection. Use it to keep scalp infections at bay and maintain a healthy scalp and mane. You can choose a cosmetic grade castor oil or the Jamaican one (roast the beans and then extract the oil). You also get coldpressed castor oil in the market. The oil is clear yellow in color and has a mild natural odor. Jamaican castor oil is darker in color and thicker in viscosity. Remember to mix castor oil with some other oil before use, to ensure it spreads evenly on the scalp. You could mix it with an equal quantity of almond oil or olive oil or even coconut oil. Here are a few tips to registering them, the other challenge is t o con vin ce t h e r em ain in g registered population of which 50 per cent who have not voted in the last election, to vote this time.
