Smart Bins for Green City Come Experience the Free classes and then join us for your better future
B
ruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike
(BBMP) has received a green signal
from the Urban Development
Department to set up 'smart bins' across the city and further plans to set up automated transfer stations too. The BBMP ran a pilot project to test these smart bins at the Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park, the success of which helped civic authorities plan an expansion of the scheme across the city. BBMP will take an initiative by implementing the new idea of automation and monitoring of
waste management operations. As waste management operations all over the world attempt to become more cleaner and greener. The main purpose of BBMP for adopting these technologies is for processing the waste in addition to the system for waste collection and decentralization of its processing by setting up small capacity plants across the city. The plan of action also includes setting up waste transfer stations in over 50 locations in the city. This will also help in the timely clearance of waste in a systematic manner, to avoid the overnight piling of garbage. Continued on page 3

It is typically worn around the waist with one end draped around the shoulder. There are various styles of sari draping, the most common being the Nivi style, which originated in Andhra Pradesh, India. The sari is associated with grace and is widely regarded as a symbol of grace in cultures of the Indian subcontinent. The word Sari in Sanskrit means a strip of cloth. The history of the Sari dates back to the Indus Valley Civilization during 2800 - 1800 BC. There are more than 80 recorded ways to wear a sari. This allows free movement while covering the legs. Bengali and Odia style is worn without any pleats. Continued from page 1 Objective The objective is to promote cities that give a decent quality of life to its citizen, a clean and sustainable environment. These technologies can provide visibility on solid waste management, route planning for garbage collection, resource optimization, efficient asset management, efficient maintenance, visibility of waste bins etc. Automated waste collection system provides long term solution and can take care the conventional methods like door-todoor, crub-side, community bins collections and transportation via sloping channel system. Smart bins are installed with sensors that send out a signal once garbage fills up to its brim. This signal will be communicated to contractors regularly to ensure timely clearance. Benefits of using Smart Bins To manage waste collection through Sensor
Based Smart Dustbins ·

inters makes your skin dry, chapped and peeling. Putting on makeup especially lipstick becomes a tough task. Especially if you live in a place that has extreme weather conditions you must be extra careful about your lips and it is recommended that you avoid a few makeup products during winters if you love your skin. However, when it comes to wearing lipsticks, here are few things you might want to keep in mind while applying it during winters. 1. Exfoliation is the key but make sure you exfoliate the right way, right before applying your lipstick. Use natural moisturisers like shea butter to exfoliate your lips. Simply apply shea butter to your lips, wait for a few minutes and rub it off with a towelette or tissue. You may also use dedicated lip scrubs for that. 2. Do not touch matte lipstick. Applying matte lipstick during winters is the biggest mistake you can make as it will dry up your lips even further. Instead, opt for glossy lipstick or better
yet, try tinted lip balms. 3. If you really want to use your favourite matte lipstick, just apply little vaseline or shea butter on your lips and then apply your matte lipstick. 4. If you are fond of liquid lipsticks opt for ones with a moisturising base to give a perfect finish because even the liquid lipsticks tend to steal away moisture from your lips. 5. Opt for darker shades during winters. This is because darker shades are known suit you better during winters when your skin gets pale and also darker shades hide chapped lips better than lighter shades. 6. Avoid glitter lipsticks during winters as glitter lipsticks tend to make your lips dry and flaky. 7. Do not store your lipsticks in the freezer during winters as it becomes extremely difficult to smoothly apply lipstick that is chilled. Store it at room temperature. How did you like these tips? The number one reason broccoli works best for the immune system is its vitamin C content. And studies have found that broccoli can also boost the aging immune system. The sulforaphane in the vegetable interacts with Nrf2, a protein that re g u l at e s t h e b o d y ' s ov e r a l l antioxidant response. Broccoli reduces inflammation in the colon and helps prevent colon cancer. The vegetable is broken down in the stomach into certain compounds, one of them being indolocarbazole (or ICZ). This ICZ activates another compound called aryl hydrocarbon receptor (or AHR), which maintains the gut barrier function and treats related issues like leaky gut. Leaky gut occurs when the intestinal barrier is compromised and opens up to attack by toxins and microbes, leading to poorer absorption of nutrients.
You might want to turn to broccoli if you have any kind of eye problem that has been bothering you for quite a while. Because studies show that broccoli might prevent blindness. And this effect, again, is attributed to the humble sulforaphane in broccoli – the naturally occurring antioxidant that protects the eyes from ultraviolet radiation. Research says that the more sulforaphane your eye cells get, the more protection they receive

Improves Bone And Teeth Health Do you have bone issues or know anyone who does? Well, we can understand what a pain it can be. You can't just move around. And that's terrible. But you sure might find some solace in broccoli. Being an excellent source of vitamin K, calcium, potassium, and magnesium – broccoli plays a role in maintaining bone mineral density (it contains good levels of iron too). Promotes Heart Health Broccoli keeps the blood vessels strong, which is one of the ways it improves heart health. The sulforaphane in the vegetable can prevent and even reverse damage to blood vessel linings caused by chronic sugar issues.
Research has found that taking broccoli just for 3 days can lead to a 2 0 0 p e rc e nt i n c re a s e i n t h e production of proteins that generate antioxidants in the nasal cells. And this can help cure allergies. Might Promote Weight Loss Broccoli is low in calories, and hence can be an ideal addition to a weight loss diet.
