Dear Members, The leaves are beginning to turn, the sun and moon rises are particularly stunning, and we look forward to fun filled October events for our members. Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is truly a stunning place this time of year and we hope that you enjoy the month. We would like to invite you to several events you have enjoyed in years past, as well as those that are new for the month of October. Neiman Marcus will be back with the latest fashions and trends presented during a special luncheon on Wednesday October 6th in The Grand View dining room. This is your opportunity to meet fine jewelry designer, Debra Navarro. A pop-up shop will follow the fashion show so that you may choose gifts for yourself or as a present for a loved one. We are always looking to provide something new and for October we have a special event called The Fall Festival which will occur on Saturday October 16th from 2pm until 6pm. This is your chance to ride a mechanical bull or visit a beer garden. There will also be crafts and games for the kids, a pumpkin patch, pony rides, a petting zoo and food concessions. The Fall Festival is a day for the whole family and will occur on the golf range, so mark your calendars and come out to enjoy a fun time. Chef Ricardo Morfin of the local AMBLI Restaurant will join our own Executive Chef Thomas Hartwell to present a Member Dinner with a Mexican flair on the evening of Wednesday October 20th in the Grand View dining room. Wine pairings will also be available for each of the courses if you choose to add to your experience. More information on pricing and menu’s will be forthcoming but mark the date now as it’s sure to be a popular event. In addition, get your costumes out and plans made to participate in our annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday October 30th at the Kissing Camels Clubhouse parking area. It’s always fun to wander from trunk to trunk gathering treats and to enter our costume and car/golf cart decorating contests. If you would like to decorate your trunk and participate, let Jasmine in Kids Club know and she can be of assistance.
