Greg Heartt, our Director of Racquet Sports, is doing an excellent job and you will note an increase in clinics, junior programs, tournaments and fun events. The Fall Festival that we added last year is back with the Great Pumpkin Patch, Beer Garden, live music and everything fall for an enjoyable and fun afternoon with your family and friends. Watch for your member communication and further details for the event on October 15th
Our Fitness Team is also rolling out a series of new group fitness classes and with more classes at times convenient to your busy schedules, so we hope that you will come out and work on your vitality and health at these fun classes.
Also, do not forget to take advantage of special member savings on unique activities provided by our Resort Outfitter company. Activities include guided hikes, bike rides, e bike tours, zip lining in Seven Falls, a fabulous falconry experience, and more. In the world of live music at the Club, we are adding another amazing singer to our lineup. Deryk Cunnigham has several dates in the Rocks Lounge this month, including tomorrow. He is wonderful, and we hope you enjoy his live music.

A Music, Wine, Dinner and Dancing Member event on September 16th. You will not want to miss a community favorite, the Lila Mori Trio, as they bring jazz music perfect for dancing at the Grand View Restaurant while being served a four course meal with selected wine of your choosing.

Holiday Events and Dining Cancellation / No Show
We are excited to announce the release of a new menu to be offered in both the Grand View Dining Room and the Rocks Lounge & Dining Room! This menu will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. in both the Grand View Dining Room and the Rocks Lounge & Dining Room, excluding the Grand View Dining Room during Sunday Brunch Buffet days. You can view the menu here. Reservations should be made by visiting the Member Portal and making your reservation on the Restaurant Reservation tab and OpenTable Widget or call our restaurant reservations number, 719 329 6901.
Join us for this member favorite Sunday Brunch Buffet, complete with a mimosa and bloody mary bar. The buffet commences at 10:00 a.m. with the final seating at 3:00 p.m. The brunch menu will vary each Sunday. The price is $65 for adults and $30 for children (ages 4 to 12). Price excludes tax and gratuity. Member Discount is applicable. The a la carte menus will not be available in the Grand View Dining Room during this time. For a la carte availability after 10:00 a.m., please make your reservation in the Rocks Lounge & Dining Room. You can view the menu here. The 72 hour cancellation policy applies to all special holiday dining and event reservations. A fee of 50% of the prevailing event price for each reserved seat of the event will be charged to the member account or guest who made the reservation and fail to show or cancel within a 72 hour period.

In honor of September 11, 2001, and in continued appreciation of our first responders and military members, Strata Fit invites you to participate in the 9/11 Remembrance Workout recreating the 110 flights of stairs climbed (or the cardio equivalent distance) by the New York Fire Department teams during the World Trade Center tragedies. The Strata Fit 9/11 Remembrance Workout includes an option of: 2071 steps on the stair climber 2.17 miles on elliptical, treadmill, or bike 3,500 meters on the rower

You will be introduced to the concept of a neutral spine and what it takes to achieve that goal with demonstrations of various drills and exercises to help maintain a healthy spine. Proper biomechanics is key to sustaining a healthy spine and helps with awareness of the principles of lever ratio which is an important step in learning how to practice those proper mechanics and keep a spine healthy from one's head to the low back. Many members have asked for time changes, new formats, additional class offerings, and alternative locations. We are excited to announce our new September schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday cycle classes begin at 6:00 p.m. To better fit your schedule, we are now offering 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute classes.
Any kind of exercise is good for you but working out in groups may give you a little extra boost. It doesn’t get much more empowering than a class with an encouraging instructor and supportive people all working hard together.

Dear Members. JUST A REMINDER… As we move toward Fall, please remember to fill your divots with the sand/seed provided on your golf carts. The golf course will be better in the Spring if we all continue to practice proper course maintenance. Please repair your ball mark and 1 2 others when on the putting surface. Leave it better than you found it. You will be amazed at how much better the greens will roll! Members bringing repeat guests to the course, please remember our policy is 6 guests visits per year with the same guest. We appreciate everyone being respectful of this policy. Please don’t forget to fill in member/guest names to your tee times a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your starting time. TBD’s will be dropped after 48 hours. Shirt tails are to be tucked in on the golf course and practice range. We’ve seen an abundance of shirt tails out/untucked this season and we politely remind both members and guests about our policy. Hat bills are to be forward facing on the course and practice range. Again, thank you for your continued support of our golf programs and for making the overall experience enjoyable for everyone. FIELD TRIP TO GARDEN OF THE GODS NATURE CENTER
Tyke Hike and Rock Identification $35 per Jr. Member Join Kids Club for a slow paced hike from the Visitor Center to the Central garden for kids aged 2 to 10. This is the perfect addition to your home school curriculum. As we walk, there will be an activity to engage the kids with the flora and fauna of the Garden. At the central garden, we will take a break and read a book and have a snack. After the hike, we will learn the skills to identify different traits in rocks that geologists use to determine the rock type. The class will begin indoors in the Red Rocks Room so that we can learn the traits that we are looking for and how to measure them. Then we will head out into the Garden of the Gods and put our new knowledge to work identifying any rocks that we find! This class will be focused on Igneous Rocks.

Colorado was home to many exciting varieties of dinosaurs millions of years ago. Learn about the different ancient lizards that walked this same land as you! Each We Dig Dinosaurs event will focus on a different type of Colorado native dinosaur and will be both fun and educational!

Junior Members are invited to join Michael Bideau, education specialist, at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, for this exciting, guided scavenger hunt. The program begins with a short movie in the Geo Trekker theater followed by exploring the exhibit rooms using our Scavenger Hunt cards and finishing up with a fun read aloud and snack. We will finish with an experiment, with a fundamental question that is asked by kids every day, and then hands on science will be used as a vehicle for engaging, discovering, and learning through actual experience, not just explanation.
