Dear Members, Welcome to the Labor Day weekend edition of the member newsletter. I hope that you have been enjoying the new format and design of the publication. Our team has been working diligently to make the newsletter as helpful as possible. If you have not signed up yet for our texting service, please consider doing so. Many members have told us they find it very helpful as we send out reminders about upcoming events so you don’t miss out. This has been an incredible summer with many special moments in the life of our club. I hope that you feel rejuvenated and have had the opportunity to spend time with loved ones and friends in a way that last summer did not allow. I, for one, am so grateful for those memories and for life here in Colorado Springs and at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. But the summer memory making is not over yet! We have lots of special entertainment planned for this Labor Day Weekend including your final opportunity to enjoy our pop-up lounge, The Green Room, as it concludes its summer run. We hope you will come out and support all of our venues to celebrate the end of this amazing summer. Looking ahead, our team is busy planning a Fall Festival that we hope will become an annual tradition and we have scheduled a special Dueling Pianos Dinner for Friday, September 24th. Stay tuned for more details soon. As the days get shorter, cooler autumn evenings will allow for all of us to enjoy dinner or cocktails next to the glowing warmth of fire tables set amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Garden of the Gods. Our talented culinary team is updating all of the menus at each of our outlets beginning October 1st so be sure to make reservations and give all of the new dishes a try. Bookings are also filling up quickly for holiday and company lunches, dinners and parties. So please contact the Club ASAP to reserve your holiday celebration. The changing season is also a great time to renew your commitment to wellness and we hope you will take advantage of all that STRATA, our state-of-the-art integrated wellness spa, has to offer. There are lots of new and exciting classes, treatments, and programs for you to experience as you wind down your summer. Thanks to each of you for your support and for your membership. Pool Closures The Rec Center Pool is scheduled to close on Tuesday, September 7th. Three Graces Pool with zero entry and two lap lane opportunities at 6:00 a.m. daily is scheduled to close on October 31st. The Infinity Pool will continue to remain open year-round but will return to family swim beginning November 1st during the winter.

Dueling Pianos at The Grand View Dining Room | Save the Date Save the date and make your reservation for Friday, September 24. Are you ready for some raucous fun, as dueling pianists tickle the ivories performing a collection of memorable tunes? Share in the revelry, belting out your favorite verses while enjoying a deliciously prepared dinner with the option for wine accompaniments thoughtfully selected by our sommelier. At the Pools Moving into September, there will be schedule changes to the club’s food and beverage offerings at the pools. The Recreation Pool Café will close for the season and the Infinity Pool and Three Graces Pool Café will continue to operate on Friday’s, Saturday’s, and Sunday’s.

Welcome Chef Kelley McCann Please join us in welcoming our newest culinary talent, Chef Kelley McCann as the Kissing Camels Grille & Bar Chef de Cuisine. Chef Kelley brings a tenured career in the culinary arts where he has refined his artisan skills starting in South Louisiana and expanding all over the country. Chef Kelley began his southern roots with the famed New Orleans restaurant Galatoire’s Restaurant working his way up to Executive Chef for the Galatoire’s group. During this period, Chef Kelley worked at Augusta National for the Master’s golf tournament, where he ran their New Orleans themed restaurant called Augusta’s for seven consecutive tournaments. Between tournaments, Chef Kelley accepted the position of executive chef at Kalurah Street Grill in Baton Rouge where he continued to drive the culinary creativity and cuisine within the restaurant. More recently, Chef Kelley held chef positions at the Broadmoor Hotel before joining the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club. The STRATA Fit 9/11 Remembrance Workout In honor of September 11, 2001, and in continued appreciation for our first responders and military members, STRATA Fit invites you to participate in the 9/11 Remembrance Workout – recreating the 110 flights of stairs climbed (or the cardio equivalent distance) by the New York Fire Department teams during the World Trade Center tragedies. To allow for maximum participation, the Remembrance Workout will take place on multiple pieces of cardio equipment. Beginning on September 11, 2021 and for the month of September (through Thursday, September 30), every time you complete any one of the below challenges, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $25 dollar savings on any STRATA Fit regular-priced retail item (and GGRC Member Discount will also be applied). Please inform a member of the STRATA Fit of your workout completion and the team will document your achievement. Additionally, STRATA Fit will be maintaining a Leaderboard inside the STRATA Fit Digital Studio; monitor your progress and cheer on your competitors during this 20th year since 9/11. The STRATA Fit 9/11 Remembrance Workout includes: • 2,071 steps on the stepmill or stair climber • 2.71 miles on the elliptical or treadmill • 3,500 meters on the rower For more information call the STRATA Fit Team at 719-329-4009 • Ext. 4009.
