Reminder: If you choose to arrive prior to 8am, place your name on the “I’m waiting for a #” paper. At 7:30am, a volunteer will arrive and distribute #’s. Beginning at 8am, we will begin to call #’s. 1pm depart Apt. Suites Lobby 2pm show begins (Sign up begins May 4) Newsies, the hit Broadway musical, will be performed by Servant Stage at Lancaster Bible College. This family-friendly production features a timeless message. Cost: $8pp transportation Pay-What-You-Will donations accepted at the door.
9:15am depart Apt. Suites Lobby Approximate return, 2pm (Sign up begins May 4) The Historic Pottstown Carousel features hand-carved, solid wood animals, 48 replicated by many volunteers. One such volunteer, John Dolan, GSV resident, carved two chariot benches. Ride the carousel and explore its historic location in the former Pottstown Metal Welding Company. Pack your lunch or order a box lunch at time of sign-up. Cost: $18pp
JUNE 11, SATURDAY **CIVIL WAR INSTITUTE
7:30am depart Apt. Suites Lobby Approximate return, 9pm (Sign up began April 6) Garden Spot Village has received an invitation to participate in a Civil War Educational Excursion (part of a 3-day conference). Over 35 leading Civil War historians will present. Your day includes 4 presentations, lunch, dinner, and an after-dinner battlefield tour. The 2022 conference offers something for everyone! Cost: $90pp includes presentations, 2 meals, battlefield tour and GSV transportation. JUNE 22, WEDNESDAY **PA GRAND CANYON WAGON ADVENTURE
6:30am depart Apt. Suites Lobby Approximate return, 11pm (Sign up began April 6) Ride an Ole Covered Wagon (with cushioned seats) while enjoying the Waterfall Tour through the PA Grand Canyon. Relax on this 3½ hour tour with restroom stops. Guides share stories while horses wind through the Pine Creek Rail Trail.Flyer available at Life Enrichment Office.
