Airing of the Quilts Saturday, July 23 9am-3pm, Garden Spot Village
An event where everyone can participate! Inspired by the pioneer tradition of airing quilts by hanging them on bushes and trees, the Garden Spot Village Quilters will host “Airing of the Quilts.” On Saturday, July 23, display all of the quilts that you own outside your home. Use magnets to attach quilted pieces to your garage door. String clothesline between trees for hanging quilts. Drape quilts over your balcony, porch railings, shrubs, benches and rocks. From 9am - 3pm, walk or cruise Garden Spot Village and Sycamore Springs to view the display of quilts. Visit the special exhibit of quilts made with Ruby Short McKim patterns in the Legacy Garden. Purchase a quilt at the GSV Quilters’ pop-up sale in the Pavilion. Food trucks will add to the festivities. Invite your friends and family to join you for this fun event. Rain date: July 30.
