NATIONAL BEST FRIEND DAY, JUNE 8

Having a very good friend is one of life’s many blessings! Someone to share your heart, spend time with and someone to laugh or cry with. Burdens are lessened and joys enhanced when shared with a trusted friend. Many people have several best friends throughout their lives – a childhood best friend, a coworker best friend, spouse, sibling, church friend… The seasons of life are constantly changing, bringing opportunities to hold onto valued “old” friendships while reaching out for new ones.

Consider celebrating Best Friend Day by

• Spending time with your friend(s) – go out for lunch, shopping, golfing, taking a walk • Calling an old best friend that you haven’t talked to in awhile • Writing a note of appreciation • Making an effort to find a best friend if you don’t currently have one
