Pond dipping fun for all the family • Create a small, natural wildlife pond • Helps children to learn about nature • Identify pond life, insects and bugs Position the PVC liner in the hole, stretch it out and remove any creases for a neat finish. Use slate or large rocks to support the liner and create a natural edge.

Step 3 - Connect the pump to create an attractive fountain which will also add vital oxygen to the pond.

Step 4 - Use marginal and pond plants to create an attractive ecosystem, such as Hippuris vulgaris and Mentha aquatica as they are fast growing, absorb nutrients and provide shade and retreat for underwater creatures.

Step 5 - Add the barley straw once the pond is complete as this will provide a natural and safe way to reduce green algae. The tap water conditioner will remove any harmful chlorine, making the tap water safe for wildlife.

NEW Product Of The Year winner at GLEE 2022, The Bermuda My First Pond Kit includes some of the key products needed to create their pond.

The kit includes 2.5m x 2m PVC Pond Liner, a 1000lph Fountain Pump, Tap Water Conditioner (250ml), Barley Straw Bale, a Pond Net, Magnifying Glass and a Pond Dipping Guide Book to help identify all the minibeasts that could start to live in their pond.

My First Pond Kit is the first product in what will be a new range of pond kits expertly put together to provide the family with fun and interaction whilst learning about nature.

EASY TO SET-UP Step 1 - Find a suitable location with partial shade but not underneath a tree because this will accumulate debris. Dig a hole and remove any loose stones or sharp rocks that could puncture the PVC liner. Shape the hole to create a gentle gradient which will encourage wildlife to enter the pond.
