Garland Symphony Orchestra continues Viva España On March 15, the GSO presents the Eighth Annual Movie Scores Quiz for an evening of challenge and enjoyment! The GSO will perform selections from soundtracks of famous films set in Spain. A prize will be awarded to the audience member who correctly identifies the most film titles and composers. This performance will also feature Laura Ospina, Principal Cellist. On April 19, the GSO will perform Beethoven’s Leonora Overture No. 3, Mozart’s Overture to Don Giovanni and many more! This performance will feature ART EXHIBITS at the GRANVILLE ARTS CENTER

The GISD Visual Arts Senior Art Show will be held March 5-19. This is the 25th anniversary of the GISD Visual Arts Awards for the Garland Cultural Arts Commission. March 22-April 21 enjoy a watercolor exhibit by UNT artist David Collins. Viewing hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and during all performances. Garland Civic Theatre Ends 2012-2013 Season With Death and a Dance Join Garland Civic Theatre as they conclude their season with two wonderful shows. “Death Takes a Holiday” is a striking masterwork that has established itself among the important plays of our time. A wonderful evening of theatre full of comedy, suspense, mystery and pathos — a beautiful love story that is as simple as it is appealing. Running February 28 through March 23, this is a can’t miss show. GCt’s final show of the season is “All Aboard For Broadway,” the story of a Broadway producer putting on a show in 1917. The fireworks explode like the 4th of July in this All -American Musical featuring some of the best songs of George M. Cohan, including You’re a Grand Ol’ Flag, I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy, Over There, Give My Regards to Broadway and many more! This fun production runs from April 11 to May 4. Performances are in the Small Theatre of the Granville Arts Center. Show times on Thursdays are at 7:30 pm. Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 8:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 pm. Tickets for “Death Takes a Holiday” are $17-$22 and tickets for “All Aboard for Broadway” are $20-$27. Group rates are available.
