Garland Summer Musicals opens with Singin’ In The Rain

Singin’ In The Rain

Join the Garland Summer Musicals for this enchanting Hollywood story filled with brilliant music and dance. The 1920’s is the setting for this zany, lighthearted romantic comedy about the early days of sound film when a movie studio found itself scrambling to salvage the career of a silent film star. Spectacular musical scenes include the show stopping on-stage rainstorm. Hit songs include You Are My Lucky Star, Make ‘Em Laugh, You Stepped Out Of A Dream, and the title song Singin’ In The Rain. Singin’ In The Rain is under the direction of Buff Shurr. Staff includes Musical Director Mark Mullino, Choreographer Kelly McCain with additional choreography by Joseph Jones, Lighting Designer Susan A. White, Set Designer Kelly Cox,

Garland Symphony Orchestra’s Season Finale Join the GSO for their spectacular Season Finale May 10 at 8 pm in the Granville Arts Center’s Brownlee Auditorium. The GSO will feature Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 2 and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capricco Espanol! This performance will also feature pianist, Konstantine Valianatos performing Liszt’s Rhapsodie Espagnole!

The orchestra will be led by guest conductor Juan Carlos Lomónaco. The Symphony’s audience can look forward to a musical fiesta as fiery as a Flamenco dance and as rich as a bottle of Rioja! Olé!
