Arts In Action Garland CivicTheatre presents “Cabaret"

One of Broadway’s greatest productions by the same creator of last year’s smash hit at GCT – Chicago! Right this way, your table’s waiting at Cabaret, the Tony award winning musical about following your heart while the world loses its way. It is based in nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, and revolves around the English cabaret performer Sally Bowles and her relationship with the young American writer Cliff Bradshaw. Performances are in the Small Theatre of the Granville Arts Center. Tickets are $23-$27 and are available online at GarlandArtsBoxOffice.com or by calling 972-205-2790. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s glorious, award-winning musical will transport you into the world of film noir as Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big screen, having been discarded by tinsel town with the advent of ‘talkies.' Her glamour has faded in all but her mind. The ninety-three virtuoso musicians of the GSO invite you to join them for an exhilarating musical tour of la bella Italia! The Garland Symphony Orchestra performs November 14 at 8 pm with a performance featuring violinist Emily Sun performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major.
