About Kubb Kubb (also called Viking Kubb) is a lawn game for 2-12 players where the object of the game is to knock over the wooden blocks (kubbs) by throwing wooden batons at them. Once a player (or team) has knocked down the opposing kubbs, then they can then knock the king down for victory. The game rules vary from region to region and country to country, but the essence is the same - players combine throwing skill with strategy (some call the game called viking chess) to defeat their opponent. Kubb originated in Gotland, Sweden, and despite being called Viking Kubb, historical records only show kubb to be about a

hundred years old. There is an annual World Championship in Gotland, which has been running since 1995, and many countries have their own Kubb leagues. King Kubb is the founder of Kubb Kymru - the Welsh Kubb league - and will be organising kubb events nationwide. King Kubb is also establishing Kubb Kamp for junior players (our mission is to get them away from their games consoles and out in the open air).
