EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING Experience Provides an Edge We know there is nothing better than first-hand experience and it's at the heart of a Scheller College education. Putting your classroom knowledge to work with realworld issues and problems is what we do best. Long before it was popular to incorporate hands-on learning into MBA programs, we were doing it. For years, we have been tapping into the Atlanta and Tech Square ecosystems with practicums, capstone projects, and international residencies to provide hands-on opportunities for our MBA students to tackle real business issues. Capstone Projects: EMBA students work in designated teams to complete a capstone project specific to their program.
Management of Technology: Students identify an emerging technology and develop a full business plan to bring a technology-driven product or service to market. This project culminates with a “Shark Tank”-style presentation to industry experts and venture capitalists.
Global Business: Students work as consultants to leading global corporations, addressing current strategic issues the corporation is facing. Teams recommend resolution strategies — from product and pricing to logistics and management
International Residency*: EMBA students attend a mandatory two-week international residency to examine cultural, legal, and economic aspects of global business, while gaining knowledge in international practices and cultures and their impact on business.* Optional Residencies*: • Management of Technology students can attend a multi-day tour of leading technology giants, start-ups, and venture capitalists in Silicon Valley. • Global Business students can participate in a second international residency to expand their global business experience
*Residency opportunities are subject to change based on availability and safety of travel
