Our main gathering of the week is our 10am Sunday service. This is when our whole church comes together - all ages and life stages, not-yet-believers and longterm-disciples. We come together to CONNECT with God and with our church community, through our contemporary style and inspiring services, which include anointed worship music, atmospheric and creative videos, media and lighting - all produced by our CreativeArts team. We hear the Bible taught in an applicable, practical, and easy-to-understand down-to-earth style by our team of speakers (in-house and guests), and spend some time together over coffee & snacks served by our Hospitality team (greeters & ushers, cafe, and Info desk). Elementary age and younger kids get to do their own version of this at their own event with GatewayKids. To find out about volunteering in our CreativeArts, Hospitality, or GatewayKids teams - please ask at the Info Desk or email us at info@gateway.ac. On the First Sunday of each month we have a special service (see next page) and on all other Sundays we focus on Worship & the Word. Our Lead Pastor, Martin Trench, will be doing two miniseries at our Worship & Word services.

Blessed! how to live healthy, wealthy and wise God wants us to live a blessed life - to overcome difficulties and struggles and to break through into higherlevel-living. In January we will be looking at what the Bible teaches about God’s blessings in the areas of health, income, and personal growth and how we can access those blessings by faith, apply the Biblical principles which govern them, and begin to flourish in every area of life as we connect with the God who promises to give us “our hearts desires”.
Dealing with Your Inner Demons Do you still struggle with issues or traumas from years ago? Maybe you were hurt or abused in some way and you find it hard to heal and let it go? Or maybe you struggle with guilt about something you cant forgive yourself for, or life-controlling issues that hold you back and sabotage your attempts to achieve freedom and happiness? Over February we will look at how to find emotional healing, let go of the baggage we carry around, and be set free from the spiritual forces holding us back. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!”
Often as a member of the congregation, we can easily forget the part we play in creating a culture of worship in the church. Though our leadership teams do their best to create an atmosphere of praise and worship in the church, the reality is that each one of us has a part to play in creating this atmosphere. A large part of our vision as a Creative Arts team is for each individual member of our congregation to be inspired and compelled to bring praises to God, and to be actively engaged in Worship (even when we don’t feel like it this is why it’s called a sacrifice of praise). JOINING OUR TEAM We are always in need of more people. If you are gifted creatively, please do not hesitate to contact me, as we need more people! At Gateway, we are passionate about kids and how they experience and perceive God, people and the world around them. Our priority and joy is to create a playful and exciting environment where kids get to develop an excellent understanding of the gospel, and experience first hand the power of Christ presented in the stories of the bible as they explore their relationship with God, the love He has for them, and how He can work through them, impacting the lives of those around them. In GatewayKids, all children from age 0 to grade 6 are provided a place to belong, believe and become all that God created them to be through our Nursery, Preschool, Early Elementary and Preteen programs. It’s great to be a part of a busy service. To worship God with a large crowd of people, and enjoy a service that has been well planned. All you need to do is show up. But in order to really GROW (to grow in your faith, your experiences with God, your relationships with other people) you need to be part of a group. Here at Gateway we call our small groups “House Churches” (most meet in homes, but some may meet in cafes or halls or at the church building). The Bible tells us that the early Christians met “publicly and in homes” (Acts 20:20) and it refers to these home gatherings as “house churches” (see Rom 16:5, Col 4:15, 1 Cor 16:19). These groups meet informally to eat together, socialize, worship, pray, read scripture and build community.
“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals and the Lord’s Supper, and to prayer. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity, praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.” Acts 2:42-47

Sr. High House Party
Jr. High Takeover
Sr. High House Party is for students in Grades 10-12 and takes places on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm. This weekly gathering takes place in a private home, is hosted by a mature couple and led by youth leaders. The house party is an informal social gathering where spiritual growth, pastoral care, and discipleship can take place naturally!
Jr. High Takeover is for students in Grades 6-9 and takes place on Friday nights from 7-9 pm. This is a high-energy, action-packed night that provides the younger students to “takeover” the church. With church-wide games, challenging messages and time to build friendships, these are invariably impactful nights!

We live by a simple message here at Gateway: To be a place where anyone can BELONG, BELIEVE and BECOME all God created them to be; who LOVES GOD, LOVES PEOPLE and LOVES LIFE! It is a simple statement, but a statement full of possibilities. Imagine a place where you
As you CONNECT IN A GROUP, you are able to share life together on a more meaningful level and find a place where people actually know you; where people can speak into your life, where needs can be met, and where your God-given identity and gifts can be discovered.
could BELONG to a community and feel as though you have come home, even before you have come to BELIEVE what we believe. Start in that start on a journey of BECOMING the person God is calling you to be.
Maybe that idea resonates with you and you are thinking, “I want that for my life. Where do I start?” This is where the idea of CONNECT, GROW and SERVE comes in. These three simple words are the WHAT, WHERE and HOW of digging deeper and rising higher in your life and faith. When someone asks how they can get plugged in or where they can get more connected, the answer is that simple: CONNECT ON SUNDAYS, GROW IN A GROUP, SERVE ON A TEAM. What you may not realize is all these areas provide the building blocks of BELONG, BELIEVE and BECOME. When you CONNECT ON SUNDAYS, you are joining something bigger than yourself, where you can celebrate as a movement of all God is doing and be inspired, equipped, taught and encouraged to be all that God wants you to be in your life and in this world.
And last, but not least, SERVE ON A TEAM. There is just something about joining a team with a common mission that draws people together. It bonds people in real community, growth and achievement. Over and over again, we hear how people have been blessed personally, have been ministered to and have discovered their passion through joining a team. I strongly encourage you not to wait another day and take the FIRST STEP on the journey that God has for you. The Easter season is one of the most important times of the year for any church. At this time we remember the events which transformed the world - Jesus being recognized as the Messiah (Palm Sunday), being rejected by the religious and secular leaders and crucified, (Good Friday), then rising from the dead with the power to forgive and save (Easter Sunday). We have some fantastic events planned for this Easter season …. a special multi-media, interactive family service on Palm Sunday with lively and joyful praise, and the involvement of our children. Then we have a communion service on Good Friday as we remember Jesus and the Last Supper with his disciples, before being crucified for the sins of the world. And finally, we have two morning services on Easter Sunday where we will celebrate the risen saviour in a fast-paced gospel event which is perfect to invite friends & family to. There will be entertainment, activities, and snacks & drinks afterwards. February 24th & April 28th at 7pm Often as young adults, we can feel discontent with where we are in our faith. We desire a safe space to grow as an adult and to grow in our relationship with God; but often can find that Sundays may not feel like it is enough. We want more. We want to see what life is all about. We want to discover the life God has intended us to live. This is where Encounter comes in. Encounter is a night built with a single goal: to provide a space for people to meet with God. This bi-monthly worship experience is specifically geared towards youth and young adults, addressing hard topics that are relevant to this audience while providing them with an opportunity to encounter God. Through relevant worship, powerful prophetic words and resonating messages, this is a night consumed by encounters with God and His love, mercy, grace and power. This worship experience is an extraordinary opportunity to see God move in your life and in this church in powerful and miraculous ways.
