GATTONI RUBINETTERIA E L’INNOVAZIONE SOSTENIBILE Innovare significa sfruttare le conoscenze e la tecnologia per produrre in modo sempre più sicuro ed eco-compatibile. Ecco perché Gattoni Rubinetteria ha adottato da qualche anno linee di condotta a tutela della salute, della sicurezza e dell’ambiente per essere già oggi - e continuare ad essere nel futuro - sempre più preparata, innovativa, all’avanguardia.

ENERGIA FOTOVOLTAICA PER MUOVERE L’AZIENDA L’80% del fabbisogno totale di energia dell’azienda è coperto da un impianto fotovoltaico all’avanguardia di potenza pari a 197,34 kW: tutti i macchinari produttivi e l’illuminazione dell’azienda sono mossi da energia autoprodotta, con conseguente drastica riduzione dei costi a fronte di una bassissima emissione di CO2 nell’atmosfera. L’impianto, di ultima generazione, si estende su un superficie di 1.400 m2 ed è composto da 880 moduli e da 7 inverter: la corrente continua prodotta si trasforma attraverso questi ultimi in corrente alternata, necessaria a far funzionare l’intero ciclo produttivo dell’azienda. La sua produzione annua è di circa 209.000 kW di energia pari ad una riduzione di emissioni di CO2 in atmosfera di 150 tonnellate.

PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY FOR THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION PROCESS 80% of the company’s total energy need is satisfied by a highly advanced 197.34 KW photovoltaic system: all production machinery as well as the entire lighting system are fed by internally produced energy with a drastic reduction of costs and very low emission of CO2 in the atmosphere. The ultimate generation system extends over a 1.400 sq.m. surface and is composed of 880 modules and 7 inverters, which turn the continuous current produced by the system into the alternate current necessary to activate the company’s entire production cycle. The system produces annually about 209,000 kW of energy equal to 150 tons of CO2 released into the atmosphere.

CICLO PRODUTTIVO A BASSO IMPATTO AMBIENTALE Ogni fase del processo produttivo è costantemente monitorato ed oggetto di continue migliorie. In particolare la fase della cromatura in bagno galvanico avviene secondo un sistema - denominato PWP (Pure Water Process) - che inibisce il rilascio nelle acque potabili di metalli tossici attraverso due trattamenti: il primo garantisce l’eliminazione chimica del piombo, il secondo è rappresentato da un deposito di nichel elettrolitico estremamente resistente alla corrosione, cui si aggiungono particolari prodotti che non permettono il rilascio di ioni nichel a contatto con l’acqua.

OTTONE: MATERIA PRIMA CERTIFICATA L’ottone è una lega di rame e zinco alla quale si aggiungono altri componenti secondo le performance richieste ai prodotti. Nel caso della rubinetteria si aggiungono piombo e nichel che possono rivelarsi tossici se presenti in quantità eccessiva. L’ottone utilizzato da Gattoni Rubinetteria è di composizione chimica rispondente a standard internazionali e garantisce le migliori perfomance sia per incontrare il gusto estetico moderno in fase produttiva che per agire in rispetto dell’ambiente (grazie a speciali trattamenti come quello della cromatura trivalente denominato PWP - Pure Water Process).

GATTONI RUBINETTERIA AND SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION To innovate means to take advantage of know-how and technology to achieve a safer and more environment-friendly production process. That is why Gattoni Rubinetteria has for quite some time adopted a manufacturing policy aimed at guaranteeing a safe and healthy environment and be already now and continue to be in the future, a technologically advanced and innovative company always in the forefront.

LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT PRODUCTION CYCLE Every phase of the production process is constantly monitored and undergoes continuous improvements. Specifically the chrome plating-in-galvanic bath phase is carried out according to a patented system, called PWP (Pure Water Process) - that through 2 separate treatments inhibits the release of toxic metals into the potable water: the first is for chemical elimination of lead, the second consists in a deposit of corrosion-resistant electrolytic nickel to which must be added special products that limit the release of nickel ions when coming in contact with water.

BRASS: CERTIFIED RAW MATERIAL Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc to which other components are added based on the performance required for the product. For the taps and fitting products nickel and lead are added, which however can be toxic if present in heavy quantity. The chemical composition of the brass used by Gattoni Rubinetteria is in compliance with international standards and guarantees the best performance both to satisfy the modern aesthetic taste during the production phase and to respect the environment (thanks to treatments such as the trivalent chroming called PWP - Pure Water Process).

CARTUCCE A RISPARMIO D’ACQUA ED ENERGIA L’adozione di nuove tipologie di cartucce, piccolo cuore pulsante del rubinetto che ne permette la miscelazione, consente di ottimizzare i consumi e di evitare inutili sovraccarichi di energia. Gattoni Rubinetteria dispone di tre tipologie di cartucce miscelatrici che rispettano le performance richieste dai rubinetti nelle quali sono installate, e di una cartuccia termostatica. Le cartucce di Ø 25 mm sono presenti nelle serie di design ed offrono una portata d’acqua di 10 litri al minuto, ampiamente al di sotto dei 12 litri richiesti dalla normativa, mentre le cartucce di Ø 35 mm sono installate nelle collezioni più commerciali dell’azienda e rispettano lo standard di 12 litri al minuto.

WATER AND ENERGY SAVING CARTRIDGES The adoption of a new type of cartridges, small pulsating heart of the tap that enables the mixing of the water, makes it possible to optimize consumption and avoid useless energy overloads. Gattoni Rubinetteria offers three different types of water mixing cartridges that comply with the performance required for the taps they are installed in and a thermostatic cartridge. The Ø 25 mm cartridges are installed in the design series and offer a water flow of 10 lt/ min way below the capacity required by law, while the Ø 35 mm cartridges are installed in the more commercial versi ons and respect the standard of 12 lt/min.

AERATORS WITH FLOW REDUCERS Modern aerators are equipped with flow limiters, small devices screwed on to the mouth of the tap, that by mixing water with air allow up to 30% water saving. while obtaining a better flow jet (same power with no spurts).

AERATORI CON RIDUTTORI DI FLUSSO I moderni aeratori sono dotati di riduttori di flusso: si tratta di quei piccoli dispositivi avvitati all’estremità della bocca di erogazione del rubinetto che, miscelando l’acqua con l’aria, permettono di risparmiare fino al 30% di acqua ottenendo un getto migliore (stessa potenza e niente schizzi!).

COMPONENTS MADE OF NON-TOXIC MATERIALS All soft rubber components and connectors of the taps are made of polymers, obtained from non-toxic compounds which are highly elastic and have excellent mechanical properties. The washers and o-rings fitted inside the tap must guarantee tightfitting between the parts and fight all degenerative phenomena caused by the warping effect generated by the pressure exercised by the rubber molecules (including resistance to the formation of fungi and mildew).

RECYCABLE PACKAGING For quite some time Gattoni Rubinetteria has been complying with standards that only recently have become compulsory and that require the use of sponge instead of polystyrene inside the packaging cartons to protect the tap all through the time between the shipping from our warehouse to destination. Carton is a material easily recyclable that can also be recovered for further use.

IMBALLAGGI RICICLABILI Da tempo Gattoni Rubinetteria risponde a quelle che solo recentemente sono diventate normative che impongono la presenza di spugna e non più di polistirolo all’interno delle scatole di imballaggio per proteggere il rubinetto nel corso della sua vita dal magazzino spedizioni dell’azienda fino a destino. Il cartone è quindi materiale facilmente recuperabile e riciclabile.

NO ACOUSTIC POLLUTION This is an aspect that characterizes the plumbing hydraulic system and not just the tap, which is only the external visible part of the installation; in fact it is actually the latter that amplifies an irritating noise, which some European countries already regulate quite strictly. That is why Gattoni Rubinetteria’s series, rigorously tested in laboratory, satisfy all these requirements. Among others the French certification (NF) focuses upon both the single-lever mixers and the traditional taps imposing the use of sintered ceramic instead of brass screw downs.

RESPONSIBLE USE OF THE TAP In Italy also, possibly just recently as compared with other countries of the world, a more and more growing civic awareness is contributing to produce good results in terms of a conscious behaviour towards nature and the riches it offers us. Water, a primary necessity which apparently we consider an unlimited resource, is the element we must deal with when turning on a tap or mixer. A responsible use of water contributes to improve the innovative performances already developed by the manufacturer.

COMPONENTI IN MATERIALE ATOSSICO Tutti i componenti e raccordi in gomma morbida dei rubinetti sono fabbricati con polimeri frutto di mescole atossiche, dotate di ottime proprietà meccaniche e di grande elasticità. Nel caso di rondelle ed o-ring essi, all’interno del rubinetto, devono garantire tenuta fra le parti e contrastano tutti i fenomeni degenerativi dovuti all’azione distorsiva della pressione delle molecole della gomma di cui sono costituite (compresa la resistenza all’attacco di funghi e muffe).

NESSUN INQUINAMENTO ACUSTICO Appannaggio di tutto l’impianto idraulico piuttosto che del solo rubinetto che ne rappresenta la parte estrema e visibile esteticamente, in realtà proprio quest’ultimo amplifica una fastidiosa rumorosità che alcune nazioni europee regolamentano in maniera restrittiva. Per questo le serie di Gattoni Rubinetteria soddisfano i requisiti richiesti da queste norme, rigorosamente testati in laboratorio. Tra le altre, la certificazione francese NF pone l’attenzione in questo ambito sia per i miscelatori monocomando che per la rubinetteria tradizionale, imponendo vitoni in ceramica sinterizzata invece di quelli in ottone.

UTILIZZO RESPONSABILE DEL RUBINETTO Forse da meno tempo rispetto ad altri paesi nel mondo, anche in Italia una sempre crescente coscienza civica contribuisce a far raccogliere frutti in termini di comportamenti consapevoli verso la natura e ciò che essa ci offre. L’acqua, bene primario apparentemente inesauribile, è l’elemento con il quale ci si deve confrontare utilizzando un rubinetto ed importante è il suo utilizzo responsabile, che va ad aggiungere efficacia alle prestazioni innovative già sviluppate dal produttore.
