Statewide Ballot Measures

Thisamendmentwouldtransferownershipofcertainpropertieslocatedin FayetteCountyandWalkerCountyfromtheFranklinCountySchool SystemtotheFranklinCountyBoardofEducation.Someofthese propertiesaredesignatedassixteenthsectionlandandsomeare indemnityland,meaningtheyarededicatedtosupportingand maintainingpublicschools.Iftheamendmentisapproved,anymoney earnedfromtheleaseorsaleofthelandsoritsnaturalresourceswouldgo totheFranklinCountyBoardofEducation.
