Mildred Jenkins, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 3, 2025. Born on June 4, 1939, in Florence County, South Carolina, to Maggie Graham Carter and Jesse & Beatrice Graham, Mildred lived a life of unwavering faith, service, and love for her family and community.

Mildred was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church, where her faith flourished and guided her throughout her life. She received her education in the schools of Florence County, South Carolina, instilling in her the values of dedication and perseverance.

For 30 years, Mildred worked at Hampton General Hospital as a Patient Transportation Technician. She served patients and colleagues alike with compassion and professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of everyone she encountered.

An active member of her community, Mildred attended weekly senior gath events at the West Hampton Community Center. Her character wa reliability, resourcefulness, and honesty. Always impeccably dressed and she was a source of care and support to family and friends in their times of nee

Mildred loved attending church, traveling, and spending intimate mome ones. A devoted fan of Family Feud, she never missed an episode, often turning it into a shared family tradition filled with laughter and joy.

She now joins in eternal rest those who preceded her in death: hergrandfather Jesse Graham, grandmother Beatrice Graham, mother Maggie Graham Carter, son, Andre Jenkins, and devoted husband, Floyd M. Jenkins, Sr.

Mildred leaves to honor her memory her beloved sons, Floyd M. Jenkins Jr. and Larry A. Jenkins; her grandchildren, Larry Jenkins II, Eric Jenkins, and Corey Jenkins; and her great-grandson, Zyair Jenkins. Her siblings, Leon Carter, Rober Carter (Gladys), Marion Carter, Thomasena Thomas (George), and Kenneth Carter (Laura), as well as a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends, also survive her.
