WELCOME Welcome and thank you for joining us as we introduce the 2012 Monsters Show Cast. This year’s title, The Monsters Way, has a number of meanings to me. The most important though, and those of you who have been to Monsters will understand this,

is how we operate as a FAMILY. From our faculty and staff to the volunteers and dancers, our main priority is to maintain an environment where everyone feels at home, like each city is a family reunion. With each Monsters show, we gain 14 or 15 new “kids” with whom we become very close. Like proud parents, we follow them, support them, and brag about their accomplishments, which have been many. Prior to each year’s first show rehearsal, countless alumni meet the cast and “welcome them to the family.” Like protective big brothers and sisters, they are here throughout the process to ensure the next cast’s success.

interns and alumni, Chonique & Lisette, Nappytabs, Movement Lifestyle, our production team and everyone who has contributed over the last eight years. Thank you for your support and enjoy the Show.

There’s even some friendly Peace, sibling rivalry over who’s cast really WAS the best? They’re all the best which is the reason each year Andy Funk has their own story. Monsters Founder I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this year’s show including our faculty, staff, 16

THE SHOW PROJECT Throughout the 2011-2012 Monsters Dance Covention Tour, four dancers in each city were videotaped for the chance to be in The Monsters Show. In addition, each dancer received a VIP Tour Pass, enabling them to attend unlimited Monsters conventions free for one full year.

will undoubtedly prepare them for a successful career in the industry. They join a long line of successful Monsters Show Alumni who continue to be some of the busiest dancers and choreographers in the business. We proudly welcome the 2012 Monsters Show Cast.

In April, many of the Monsters faculty met to review the audition footage and select the cast for our 8th Annual Monsters Show. Out of dozens of finalists and thousands of dancers who attended the tour, they narrowed the cast to 15 dancers. These dancers met and began rehearsing for the first time less than two weeks ago, enduring intense rehearsals that 2
