Thousand Oaks Toyota: Five Decades and Counting

FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS, THOUSAND OAKS TOYOTA HAS BEEN A STAPLE ALONG THOUSAND OAKS BLVD. AND A PROUD MEMBER OF THE CONEJO VALLEY BUSINESS COMMUNITY. From early on, the dealership intentionally aligned itself with local causes and established strong core values that have allowed it to grow from both a business and community presence over time.
Serving the Los Angeles and Ventura County regions, Thousand Oaks Toyota specializes in a wide array of automotive services. The dealership is well-known for its exceptional inventory, with hundreds of vehicles on the lot and showroom floor – new, used, and certified pre-owned and an experienced service and parts department providing maintenance, repair, and custom work for all Toyota makes and models.
When they opened their doors in 1968, the neighborhood was certainly a different place back then. “We’ve had the privilege of watching our community develop into what it is today, and we like to think we’ve had a hand in shaping this landscape for other businesses, residents, and our charitable partnerships,” shares owner Anita Brodecky.
Today’s team at Thousand Oaks Toyota focuses on modernization and adaptability for an online world. However, even with best-in-class automation tools and a strong digital presence, the management team still values the in-store customer experience over all else. “When customers arrive here at the dealership, whether they’re in the market for a new car, used car, trading in a lease or looking to sell, we ensure a seamless and white glove experience from start to finish. This is what ultimately sets us apart from our competitors,” says General Sales Manager, Al Dellentash.
It’s not just business processes that need to adapt over time: the dealership recently went through a complete organizational renovation in 2018. “It was a huge transition year for us…with a new management team in place, we’ve established new ‘future-focused’ priorities for each department with goals for both growth and sustainability,” shares General Manager Tim Costa.
Tim joined the Thousand Oaks Toyota team in August 2018 from a Toyota dealership in Arizona. He brings with him more than 28 years of automotive dealership management experience. “We have a huge opportunity to grow our share of voice throughout Southern California but it starts at home. We are proud of our history here in Thousand Oaks and are eager to build upon this into 2020 and beyond.”
If there’s one message the team at Thousand Oaks Toyota wishes to pass on to other businesses looking to grow their presence across the Conejo Valley area, it’s to honor their commitments to the community.
The Brodecky family believes strongly in giving back, whenever and however they can. The team at Thousand Oaks Toyota feel it is a way of life that’s allowed them to flourish for more than five decades; some of their charitable partnerships include:
