Outside the Sandbox

Welcome the infinite possibility of the season – spring horse show season! Tis a season like no other this year, as we yearn for “relaxation”, sit centered in the saddle, stare our demons straight in the eye, and feel the individual and collective love of the judges!

USEF put out a COVID-19 Action Plan update this month stating: . . .the current USEF COVID-19 Action Plan remains in place for all USEF-licensed competitions. However, we are optimistic that we will be able to permit a limited number of spectators at USEF-licensed competitions by mid-May. Further updates and new protocols will be provided in the coming weeks so that organizers and spectators have time to prepare in advance.

As a result, the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event April 22-25 has no spectators again so is being broadcast free on the USEF network. See details in the Eventing section.

As you know, the GDCTA yearbook is just around the corner. This is where many businesses choose to advertise because people hold on to these commemorative issues of Collected Remarks. The advertising deadline is June 1st. For details, check out our media planning guide on the website: www.gdcta.org/advertise.

When making your show schedule, remember that scores earned at GDCTA-hosted shows, count twice toward the awards requirements! You could qualify for dressage in one two-show weekend. Woohoo!
