We’ve got a DEAL for you… We know that A LOT of car shows and gearhead events have had to postpone the event and find another date to hold it. Some events are postponing for the 2nd time already due to the COVID-19 requirements state by state. We know that a lot of the events you hold are done so to help a charity or benefit a certain needy group. Hot Rodders are some of the most giving people I have ever seen. Stay tuned for the details but we’re going to offer you some help to get your event advertised above and beyond just the normal listing we do. We are working on the specific’s and will announce them shortly. We have a little time yet as the country is still trying to figure out how to come out of LOCKDOWN . Timing and how much at what time will play into this deal. We’re here to help you...and we will!

Like you, we are going through car show and cruise-in withdrawals! We thought about it and we came up with an idea for some Social Distancing gearhead fun that EVERYONE can do. We are going to hold COVER CAR Contest that everyone who wants to, can enter. We don’t have all the rules laid out yet, we’re working on them and will have all the details ready for the next issue. We will have some WAY COOL Prizes and entry into the contest will be FREE and you cant beat free. Cover shots have to be done in PORTRIAT FORMAT, which means the picture has to be taller than wider to fit on the cover. If they are not in the right format its impossible to use them so remember that.

You may have a cool shot of your ride already or you may want to take another one. Start looking for one or go take some pics and get ready!

New POWERTOUR DATES!! The decision has been made to move the 26th annual HOT ROD Power Tour to August 23-29, 2020, shifting from the originally scheduled June 2020 dates. The HOT ROD Power Tour team will continue to monitor state and federal public health guidelines and requirements through August and will make further decisions as needed about the tour in response to public safety. Safety is our #1 priority for our fans and staff during the annual seven-day, seven-city tour. Not one of the biggest ISCA shows on the show car circuit, it is one not to miss. This one is on our Winter Road Tour schedule for many years now, as we kick the our off with this event. One of the great things for us, when we attend different gearhead events, is meeting and making new friends. Actually truth be known, it’s the best part for us. As we have said many times before, it’s the people that make our hobby and passion come to life

Meet Jim Kagley. Jim came over to talk to us while we were checking out his ‘55 Chevy. While we were talking about all the great features of his ‘55 Chevy, and who all helped him complete the build, Jim asked if we would like to see a picture of the car when he got it. Always curious, we said “sure!”

Jim breaks out a picture from 1967 of a much younger Jim (weren’t we all!) and his 55! Actually the picture was a year old at that time as Jim has became the 2nd owner of the 55 in 1966. How cool is that! Obviously this is a car that Jim truly fell in love with. Jim told us he used the 55 everyday for quite a while and then stored it away to fix it 46

up at some point later in life. Well later in life came and Jim turned his 55 into one sweet ride! We asked Jim why he kept the 55 all this time and he told us that there was no way he was going to part of the family go, Thanks Jim for taking the time to share your story and your cool 55 with us!
