I read about this some years back. True story as it was written and told...once you read it you will see what I mean and why. It goes that one day a gentleman of 79 years of age was talking to a 30’s something man about this and that. In the course of the conversation, the elder man asked the younger man a question.

He then took 2 jars. In one jar he filled it with a marble for every weekend he had left until his 75th birthday. Each weekend that passed after that, he moved a marble from one jar to the other jar. He was able to see how much time he had left to have fun and he made that each weekend he did something fun.

“How do you spend your weekends he asked?” The younger man puffed up his chest and started to expound on how he was doing work from his job at home. The elderly gentleman asked him “ why?” The young man was quick to say that he was trying to do more so he could succeed at his job and hopefully get a promotion.

When he turned 75 he had no marbles in jar #1 and all the marbles in jar 2. Remember now he was 79. He then started moving marbles from jar #2 back to jar #1. He said this showed him how much EXTRA fun he was having, that he never planned on having. Life is great!

The elderly gentleman asked the younger man “ What about your family ( the younger man was married with 2 children)?” “What do they think about you working all the time like this?”

The younger man said it was time for a change Your turn...how many marbles do you have left? Make everyone count...

FCA introduces a Durango powered by a Hellcat Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has upped the ante in the three-row vehicle class substantially by dropping a Hellcat engine into a Dodge Durango. That means you can apparently head over to the track after you drop the kids off at soccer practice and hit the quarter-mile in a National Hot Rod Association certified 11.5 seconds. The 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat puts cargo carrier and muscle car into the same package. It's the latest Dodge offering to explore America's appetite for crazy levels of horsepower, joining the Challenger and Charger. In this case, the 6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat V8 provides 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to a "quick-shifting TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic transmission," according to an FCA announcement Thursday on the new Dodge lineup, which includes an 807-horsepower 2020 Challenger SRT Super Stock. The Durango Hellcat, which will be made only for the 2021 model year, promises 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph. "The 710-horsepower Hellcat is the most powerful SUV ever. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s the last piece of the puzzle and, alongside the Charger and Challenger, completes the Dodge brandâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s performance lineup," said Tim Kuniskis, global head of Alfa Romeo and head of passenger cars for FCA in North America, in a statement. The Durango SRT Hellcat gets improved handling, Bremblo brakes and other enhancements. It also promises a "throaty, aggressive" exhaust sound. Chevrolet Celebrates 67 Years of Corvette The first Chevrolet Corvette rolled off the assembly line in 1953. Since then, nearly 1.75 million Corvettes have been produced ... Chevrolet recently celebrated its 67th anniversary of the Corvette, the world’s longest-running, continuously produced passenger car. The iconic American twoseat sports car first went into production in Flint, Michigan on June 30, 1953. Since then, Chevrolet has built nearly 1.75 million Corvettes offering the best in technology and performance through eight generations. Corvette debuted as a concept vehicle at the General Motors Autorama in New York City on Jan. 17, 1953. It was such a success that a limited production run of 300 Corvettes began a few months later. The 2020 Stingray, the brand’s first-ever production mid-engine Corvette, is the sum of everything that came before it. The iconic sports car has been reimagined, offering customers new levels of performance, technology, craftsmanship and luxury. It is also the fastest, most powerful Corvette Stingray ever. Corvette fun facts: All 1953 models were Polo White with a red interior. They were priced at $3,498. In 2006, the third 1953 Corvette produced sold for a then-record of $1.06 million at auction. Corvette was exclusively available with an inline six-cylinder engine until 1955. That year, the optional all new small block V-8 engine was ordered by all but seven buyers. Corvette has been available exclusively with V-8 power since 1956.   Corvette was produced only as a convertible for its first 10 years. The fixed-roof 1963 “split-window” Corvette Sting Ray coupe was added to the convertible for the second-generation Corvette.  Sales nearly doubled and it became a year-round car for drivers in colder climates. Nearly 1.75 million Corvettes have been produced since June 30, 1953. The 500,000th Corvette was built in 1977; the millionth was built in 1992, and the 1.5 millionth Corvette rolled off the line in 2009. Corvettes have been produced at three facilities: Flint, Michigan (1953); St. Louis, Missouri, (1954-1981); and Bowling Green, Kentucky (1981- present). The change from St. Louis to Bowling Green happened during the production year. The first 1981 Corvette was built in St. Louis, and the last 1981 Corvette was built in Bowling Green. No 1983 Corvettes were sold to the public. The model year was skipped in preparation for the all-new 1984 Corvette, which launched the C4 generation. Forty-four Corvette prototypes were built as 1983 models. Only one remains, and it is on display at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. The first mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette off the production line sold for a record $3 million at the Barrett-Jackson auction company with proceeds donated to the Detroit Children's Fund to benefit underfunded Detroit public schools. NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick was the winning bidder.
