FAQs Why does my package include a Monday performance? Performances do not take place on major holidays, or during Opening Nights for other Geffen Playhouse productions. We have added the following Monday night shows to accommodate subscribers affected by these scheduling conflicts: UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL Monday, November 13, 2017 at 8:00 pm (Replacing performance on Wednesday, November 15, 2017) CHASING MEM’RIES Monday, November 20 at 8:00 pm (Replacing performance on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2017) FAT PIG Monday, June 11, 2018 at 8:00 pm (Replacing performance on Wednesday, June 13, 2018) To exchange these dates, please call 310.208.2028.
What happens if I lose or misplace my tickets? If you lose or misplace your tickets (don’t worry!), please contact us at 310.208.2028 and you will be issued replacement tickets free of charge via email or will call.
Why were my seats moved for a particular show? The set, lighting and sound configuration may occasionally require that your assigned seating location be moved to a more appropriate section of the house. This is especially true for the front rows in the Gil Cates Theater and the variable locations in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater. We will notify you of any change in your seating location prior to your arrival at the theater and move you to an equivalent area of the house. Your new seat location is guaranteed to be in the same price section.
What is the difference between Preview Week and the Regular run of the show? Each production in the 2017/2018 runs for at least five weeks. Preview Week is comprised of the first nine shows of the run. Because the creative team continues to fine-tune the production during Previews, tickets to these shows are less expensive. The Regular run begins after Opening Night, and continues until the production closes.
14 GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE SUBSCRIBER HANDBOOK
What is the Variable Section in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater? The Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater offers an intimate and unique theater experience, in which the seating is designed specifically to accommodate the set design and other production details of each play. The nature of this theater prevents us from guaranteeing consistent seating locations throughout the season. However, once a show opens, seats remain in the same configuration for the run of the production.
What is the late seating policy? Should you arrive late to the theater or vacate your seat during the performance, please expect to be held in the lobby until an appropriate pause in the action on-stage. To minimize disturbance to other patrons, you may be seated in the first available location by the house staff even if different from your assigned seat. Be advised that some productions or circumstances may not allow for late seating, especially in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater. To ensure you enjoy the performance in your assigned seat, please arrive at the theater early.
I’m a Subscriber, but don’t have tickets to a Spotlight Entertainment Series production or a season show in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater. May I purchase tickets to one of those shows at a discounted rate? Subscribers receive early access to purchase tickets to nonseason Spotlight Series productions. To purchase additional tickets to season productions, call 310.208.2028 for a fixed discount off the regular ticket price. This offer is only valid for select performances and seating sections. Additional restrictions may apply.
What parking lots do you recommend? Subscribers receive complimentary parking at the following lot: THE GLENDON APARTMENTS PARKING STRUCTURE 1010 Glendon Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024 (Next to Trader Joe’s) Subscribers may also opt to upgrade their parking to park at the UCLA CHS lot across the street from the Geffen (see page 5). Please visit geffenplayhouse.org/parking for a suggested list of Westwood Village parking lots and garages. GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE SUBSCRIBER HANDBOOK 15
