YOUR ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO THE JUNCTION 16 WEEKEND

BETLEY 2014

WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO JUNCTION 16. WE ASK THAT YOU ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ASSIST YOU THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND.


//COACH TRAVEL (SATURDAY ONLY)

There is a coach service on the Saturday only. If you are using the coach service please ensure you have your ticket ready to show when you’re getting on the coach. You will then be given a wristband which will show the driver that you are able to use the coach for your return journey. The first and last coach times from each destination are detailed below, there will be coaches leaving every 20 minutes (traffic dependant). Please arrive in good time to ensure you get on the coach: //STOKE RAILWAY STATION, ST4 2AA LEAVING FROM: 12:30 pm LAST COACH: 2:30 pm (depending on traffic) //HANLEY, ST1 3RF LEAVING FROM: 12:30 pm LAST COACH: 2:30 pm (depending on traffic) //NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME, ST5 1HG LEAVING FROM: 12:30 pm LAST COACH: 2:30 pm (depending on traffic) //CREWE, CW1 6AP LEAVING FROM: 12:30 pm LAST COACH: 2:30 pm (depending on traffic) //CONGLETON, CW12 1DG LEAVING FROM: 12:30 pm LAST COACH: 2:30 pm (depending on traffic) Please note that coaches leaving from Congleton will be a shuttle run to Crewe and then on the Junction 16.

For the return journey, stewards will direct you to the Coach Stop at the end of the concert. The Coach Stop is in the same area you will arrive in. Please ensure you have your wristband on for your return journey.


//CAMERAS OR RECORDING EQUIPMENT

Please do not bring anything that could be deemed as professional photography or recording equipment into the venue, as it will be confiscated & returned to you after the event

//DRUGS & ALCOHOL

Don’t do drugs or drink too much alcohol ahead of or during the event. There will be honesty bins as you approach the venue so make sure you use them if you are carrying something you shouldn’t. We have a state-of-the-art CCTV system so you will be caught if you are using anything illegal.

//DO’S

//Do make sure you planned your journey or have arranged accommodation. //Do tune in to local radio stations for the latest road updates. //Do keep your personal belongings & tickets safe at all times. //Do bring some sensible clothing & sun protection. //Do use the bins & toilets that will be provided. //Do use official vendors for merchandise only. //Do follow instruction from stewards at all times.

//DON’TS

//Don’t bring umbrellas on the Friday night and Saturday as they will be confiscated. //Don’t bring any kind of recording equipment or visual recording equipment.

//GETTING HERE

On Friday the gates will open at 5:00pm. On Saturday the gates will open at 2:00pm. On Sunday the gates will open at 6:00pm. Arrive early to enjoy the atmosphere & miss the inevitable stress of travelling during rush hour especially on Friday. Make sure you book your accommodation before it’s too late. Use the dedicated taxi & drop off area if you can’t use public transport. If you are using the coach service on Saturday, please ensure you have your ticket ready to show when you’re getting on the coach. You will then be given a wristband which will show the driver that you are able to use the coach for your return journey. Allow plenty of time for your journey if you are using public transport.


//TICKETS

Your ticket is your ticket for entry. Proceed straight to the gate if you have a ticket. Customers collection tickets should park their car first, or be dropped off. The box office is clearly sign posted and will be available for ticket collection and on the day ticket purchase. On the day of the event the Box Office will be open from 9am. Please note: Ticket collections will only be available on the day of the event.

//CAR PARKING

Car parking is FREE. The car park in the adjoining field will be marshalled by stewards and will open 2 hours before the gate opening times on each event day. The disabled car park will also open 2 hours before the gate times on each event day. Please don’t arrive earlier as you won’t be allowed access. Only cars displaying a current blue badge will be allowed in the disabled car park. Once this area is full there’s no further disabled provision apart from the main car park. There will be no vehicle access at any time into the events field, except for authorised contractors.

//SEATING

For the Katherine Jenkins on Sunday 10th August you are permitted to bring one, small folding camping chair and table. No furniture is permitted on Friday 8th August for Ultimate 80s or Saturday 9th August for Total Access Live.


//WEATHER

The concert will not be cancelled in the event of inclement weather so be sure to bring suitable clothing for all weather conditions. This includes sunscreen!

//REFRESHMENTS

Food and drink cannot be brought into the concert arena on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August however on Sunday 10th August you are welcome to bring a picnic. A range of public catering facilities will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights offering a variety of food and drink within the venue.

//FIRST AID

A First Aid point is situated within the venue and is clearly signposted. Any Steward will be pleased to direct you there.

//DISABLED INFORMATION

Wheelchair platform ticket holders will be directed to the disabled platform. A maximum of 1 wheelchair guest and 1 carer per booking is allowed within this area in order that we may accommodate all guests. Please pre-purchase wheelchair platform tickets to avoid disappointment.

//RAIL

Crewe railway station, CW2 6HR is approximately 6 miles away from Betley Court Farm, CW3 9BH.

//TAXI

There is a dedicated taxi / drop-off collection point. Stewards will be able to direct you to this area.

//CAR

Betley Court Farm, Betley, CW3 9BH is located on Main Road A531 and is approximately 6 miles from Junction 16 on the M6 motorway.
