Privacy Settings
Facebook Best Practices
Facebook has recently streamlined its privacy settings to make it easier for users.
•
Remember Your Audience! Watch what you say on Facebook Friends will have access to your News Feed including the one about you kissing your cousin Don or playing hooky from work last week!
•
Don’t use email links - go to Facebook! Any notification you receive in an email will also appear on your Facebook page after you login.
•
Friend or foe? Carefully monitor your friend requests and determine if you actually know the person.
•
Beware of quizzes! Don’t take quizzes which ask personal info like your mother’s maiden name, where you went to school etc. These are used for identity theft!
