BEGGER’S
Angus
This past year certainly presented some trials, last winter is one we all want to forget. Spring was slow to come, but when it finally arrived it was cool and wet, made for tougher calving, although it also set our country up for a very nice hay and grain crop year. The grass was good to excellent, so many ranchers had a great year to get their grass back in shape after a year of drought. The upside to our year was that the cattle markets held and most sold their calves as good if not better then the past year. Our bull pen is loaded with a set of bulls as even as we have ever offered. They are a strong group, thick, easy keeping, and moderate in size. We have a few new sire groups that really impress us. Our motto “the Cowman Comes First” is very evident in these bulls. Uniformity in kind and type is outstanding, cows with excellent udders and the ability to withstand extremes in weather are represented throughout the whole offering. Each and every bull selling has been put through our strict high standards. We believe that everyone of them will add value to their new owners. This past year we have spent over $30,000 DNA testing our entire cow herd to better their EPD accuracies and parentage, verify every cow. We also identified the cows for homozygous black. This was a big project that took a lot of time and money to accomplish. We feel this shows our commitment to offer seedstock that will better fit all segments of our industry.
Bill & Darlene
We did not creep any of the bulls, and we have set them up on a low mega cal, high roughage diet to condition them into sound breeding bulls. We worked with Hubbard Feeds and continually monitored feed quality and kept the gains on the bulls at a level that developed them into sound breeding bulls that should keep on growing, and not fall apart when in use. Our cow herd is managed like most commercial cowman run theirs, they are run out and grazed with no extra feed for as long as the grass holds out. As always, we will keep the bulls free of charge and give them a breeding soundness exam around the first of April. We will deliver them to you at no charge on bulls that sell for $3,500 or more, in most cases on all bulls within a reasonable distance and selling price. Our guarantee is a 100% purchase price on any bull that has a problem, except for negligence or death from accidental or nature caused. If your bull develops a problem, we want to know, and we will make it right.

ULTRASOUND
For bulls selling for $2,500 or more, we will offer free keep of your bull until the first of April. At that time we will semen test and give your bulls a breeding exam and deliver them free of charge up to 500 miles. For bulls that sell for less than $2,500 we will feed them and have them semen tested for $150 due on sale day. We will help in delivery arrangements. The bulls will be delivered to your ranch or in some cases when there are multiple owners of cattle on the truck and there is a need to unload and sort cattle, we may ask that you meet us at a central location that is convenient to both parties. For cattle selling over 500 miles away, we may have to hire a trucking firm to help with delivery, if so, we will guarantee delivery cost not to exceed $300 per bull. In most cases, we will deliver them ourselves, but occasionally we will put the bull on a commercial truck that is reputable and conscientious. For purchases of cattle a long distance away, we ask that you be flexible on delivery dates in case we have the opportunity to send your bull your direction earlier than April 1st. When purchasing a bull from Begger’s Diamond V Ranch, we take responsibility in delivering a healthy, breeding bull. We will take responsibility of injury or death loss while the bull is on our ranch. Responsibility of your bull purchase begins when he reaches your ranch or delivery point. We guarantee buyer satisfaction. If you have any problems with your bulls ability to breed and settle cows, let us know so we can make it right. We suggest that you insure your bull against death or injury. We cannot guarantee them against an act of God or sickness that develops while he is in your control. We do guarantee our cattle to be healthy sale day.

What can you expect out of Begger’s Diamond V Ranch Genetics Our goal is to offer the best when it comes to total profitability. When we select our genetics, we consider all the avenues in the beef business. First of all we look at what will keep you the cow-calf man profitable. Things such as calving ease, fleshing ability, udder quality, disposition, and phenotype, along with mature cow size, and their ability to raise a calf that is worth more at sale time, and is efficient. Producing cattle that the feeders and packers desire. How do we select our genetics? We use EPD’s, dollar based Indexes such as API and TI and eye appeal, along with the ability for an animal to be productive, wean a satisfactory calf, breed back on time, and have the ability to use the feed source that our environment provides. We try to run our cows in the same way that most commercial outfits run their cattle and the cows are still in excellent condition. We believe that the API is a valuable tool to consider, but feel that it is simply a guideline, and like all EPD’s and dollar indexes, should be used as a way to split the difference between a choice of 2 animals that appear to be alike. It is just one equation that needs to be considered along with an animal’s performance, eye appeal, and ability to survive in its environment. When you purchase your seedstock, take the time to look at your suppliers’ cow herd, what do they look like, are they functional, what is their udder quality like, what is their frame size, and do they calve easy, stay in shape, and do they produce a high percentage of their body wt. We consider it all and believe we offer a good solution and end point. Come take a look, we will have the majority of our cows available to observe, so you can see for yourself what you can expect your cowherd to look like if you use Begger’s Diamond V Ranch genetics.

Photos of the
bull offering 2018 was a busy year, we were shorthanded, so summer and fall went by and we didn’t get any cow/calf pictures. The pictures we took were taken by us, no fluff, no puff, in their everyday clothes, but most of all, no custom photographer that alters the pictures. There is so much of that being done today, that when you get to the sale, the pictures don’t match the cattle. We hope that you recognize us to be your seedstock supplier, that presents the cattle as they are with no hidden secrets. The bulls will be videoed and online by mid January. It will show the bulls again with no extra fitting, just out of the pen in their everyday clothes.
Watch online or bid by phone!
the Spring Bulls
This set of bulls maybe the evenest set ever offered, they show our commitment to make our worst cow as good as our best. These bulls are quiet dispositioned, moderate framed, thick made, and maternal. They are bred to calve easy and perform. Cow structure and size along with udder quality is present. They are bred to compliment a crossbreeding program that is profit driven and designed with common sense.

He is an eye catcher and is one that will be a favorite come sale day, if he follows his dam’s footsteps, he will consistently sire a powerful set of calves. This bull is one of the top performance bulls in the whole group. He came off the cow at a whopping 870 pounds in September, the heaviest actual weaning weight. His young 4-year-old dam certainly did her part. He is sired by one of our past sale bulls, as 2 Capitalist sons and a Top 10 son got in with the cows. We did not blood type to see which one sired him, but by his body style, I believe he is by the Top 10 bull. No matter what, he is a rock-solid bull that will sire a little extra frame and length. His API and TI indexes are low because of his sire uncertainty, so I see no accuracy in them, because they gave him a zero on the sire side. What I do know, he is one of the top picks in over 160 bull calves in his contemporary group. If you like performance cattle with eye appeal, here he is.

This bull is definitely a favorite. He is so complete, very deep sided, big topped and heavy muscled. From day one, we knew he had the potential to be our kind and one of the best. I feel he is so right for the cowman that wants it all. Calves that wean heavy, cows that are moderate sized and easy to look at. He will make them fancy and full bodied. I certainly can appreciate this bull’s actual birth to weaning spread with a 106 index on birth, and a 108 index at weaning, he has the genetic makeup to be one of the best. If you like them clean made, long bodied, and complete, put him on your short list.

This is a high-octane Unified son that will certainly draw some attention sale day. A very acceptable birth weight and a scale crushing weaning weight out of a 2-year-old dam. We sure like the Unified calves for their clean eye appealing profiles, cow power runs through the veins of this herd bull prospect. Note he is a little more nervous than most, but not crazy..

This is a bull that we should probably be keeping, he is a well-made bull that has jumped through all the hoops. One of our younger herd bull prospects but absolutely a bull that offers it all. Light at birth, heavy at weaning, and moderate in size. He is from a top cow family and his sire was the $37,500 bull we purchased from TNT Simmentals. Take a serious look, he maybe that outcross herd sire you are looking for. Remember he is one of the youngest, don’t overlook him. Very seldom you find this much balance and style in a purebred. Seedstock producers take notice, we will have polled results by sale time.

This is one of the youngest bulls in the offering. He came very light at birth and is the lightest birth weight son of Blue Print. His young 3-year-old dam already raised a $10,500 son as a 2-year-old. This young bull being one of the youngest was one we noticed but just thought he is ok. All of a sudden there he was, very correct in his design, and he has a lot of eye appeal. He will be a moderate sized herd bull that is easy keeping, and easy on the eye, he posts excellent performance. Remember he is young, don’t miss him. He is going to sire a lot of bang for the buck.

A very nice thick made bull. He is out of a 3-year-old dam that is heavy milking and has a picture-perfect udder. This bull is un-registerable, because his sire is one of our past bull sale bulls. We had 3 get out with our 2-year-old heifers, and she got bred. 2 were Connealy Capitalist sons, and one was a son of Top 10. We believe his is out of one of the Capitalist sons by the way he is built. No matter, what, he is the right kind, thick, deep, easy keeping, and good. His EPD profile is a little flat because of his sire uncertainty, so they gave his sire a breed average. So, don’t put much selection pressure on his EPD’s, for that reason. If you like big volume cattle that are easy fleshing, you will want to own him.

A purebred Boise, out of a 2-year-old heifer. His cow family is one of our favorites. He will sire calving ease, with good performance. His daughters should be the keeping kind, sensible sized, easy fleshing, with great udders. Use him on a wide selection of cow type, he should even them up and make them very desirable.

Out of a 2-year-old dam, and Main Event. We used Main Event on our heifers with excellent results for calving ease. Main Event is rated in the top 1 percentile for growth traits. I don’t feel that he will stay at that level for growth, but feel he is an excellent choice for calving ease. Out of a 2-year-old dam, he posted a very light 77 lb. birth weight, ranked as one of the 5th lightest birth weights in our herd. We goofed and turned him out in the wrong pasture, as his dam was in another, so he got orphaned in early June. This made for a much lighter weaning weight than he would have had, but he learned how to rob, so he still weaned at 653 pounds, not bad. There could be a lot more bull under the hood than what his stats say.

Out of a 2-year-old heifer, and Top 10, our calving ease specialist. He started out light at birth and went on to wean very respectable for a 2-year-old dam. His EPD profile gives him high marks from birth to growth, and on to carcass traits. What more can we ask for?

When it comes to cattle that do everything right, this bull’s dam is certainly one of them. Take the time to analyze this bull, he could be the sleeper of the whole sale. He lost his dam at about 2 months of age. We eventually found a cow to spike him on, but she was not the best. This bull’s full brothers have twice been our Lot 1 lead off bulls, both selling very well. Don’t overlook him, he should have been and most likely would have been one of our top performers if his dam raised him. He is very gentle.

This is the other bull calf that we swapped into the wrong pasture, so he was orphaned in early June. I guess I need to pay more attention or need new glasses. His 205 weight was affected, but he became a robber of any cow, he could sneak upon while he nursed. I knew early on of my mistake, but his dam was already dry, it seemed like he had a couple cows that tolerated his stealing, so we just left him alone. He probably lost some 205 performance, but he still exhibits a lot of positive potential and should be a true herd builder.

This bull was born a twin, raised by himself on his dam. I really like this bull, he is so well made. The Capitalist cattle are very complete, sensible sized, and made to stay in condition when times get tough. His dam is a real moderate cow that always seems to wean a top calf in the fall. He was weaned early and left on pasture with the rest of the calves, this did hurt his 205 weight some, but don’t be miss led, he will sire the good ones. His daughters could be his greatest asset.

Fall Simmental Bulls
the Fall Bulls This set of fall bulls were sorted hard to insure soundness, fleshing ability, and structure, they were never crept fed. They ate what the cows ate all winter long. They did better than we could have ever expected, as their weaning weights are exceptional. We weighed this set of bulls on Feb, 20th, and this was a little younger than normal, usually late March or early April. This did enhance their 205 wts quite a bit. We decided to wean them early because of the bitter cold hard winter. We feel that their 205 wts are higher than if they were weaned 30-45 days later. What we’ve notice year in and year out, the younger they are, the better their 205 wts seem to be. Don’t dwell on the big wts, but notice how they indexed among their contemporaries, I feel that would be accurate. With all being said, they are still high performing bulls that will definitely sire calves that are excellent performance cattle.

What a powerful way to start this set of 18-month-old bulls. He weighted heavy at weaning and kept up a strong pace right up to the sale. This bull is long and strong, he is out of a very productive 3-year-old that is holding up her end of the deal. He is quiet and easy to like and find.
102
The bulls were summered on grass with lick tubs we did not push them at all. We brought them back to the corrals mid October to get them conditioned for the sale. We elected not to push the bulls and run an ADG test, instead we fed them a low mega cal growing diet to enhance their longevity. We weighed them on December 22, and included their actual wt in the catalog. These bulls are a very strong athletic group that should be ready for heavy service. As you look through these fall bulls, they will be penned in 4 groups. The first pen will be the larger framed bulls, they will also be the heaviest actual wt, they will sire a little more frame with very good performance. The next pen is a very stout, big middled set of bulls that will sire more moderate framed cattle, will add volume, and fleshing ability. Pens 3 & 4, will likewise be very similar, all 4 pens are excellent performance bulls that will sire cattle that weigh up at weaning. They are designed to sire cattle that will withstand the extreme weather elements they were raised in.

What a powerful baldy bull, long deep and thick, perfect disposition and uniquely marked. I wish I had a whole pen of these 18-month-old badly bulls like him. He is a scurred bull that we removed last fall, but if that’s a hole, it might be the only one he has. Whoever ends up with him will own one of my favorites.

If you are looking for a purebred Simmental bull that is good enough to go purebred or commercial, here is one that’s loaded with herd bull look and performance. He is very eye catching, thick and deep as a whale and well designed in his shape. His 10-year-old dam is very consistent. We don’t flush cows but if we did, this cow would definitely be in the donor pen. We have tossed it around hard and probably should be leaving this bull in our own herd bull battery. We will retain the right to collect this bull if we desire at a later date. All kidding aside, he is one of our elite.

This bull like Lot 104 should probably stay home. Here is one of our favorites. He is very quiet to be around and made like we like them, moderate framed, deep sided, and easy keeping. His dam is always in good condition even when times get rough. We have raised and sold a lot of bulls, and I rate this one as one of our best.

This Capitalist grandson is out of one of our high selling bulls a few years ago. We sampled him that year, got along very well. The next year I brought him back home to use in our fall program. I should have just brought him back for good, but he wasn’t for sale. When you analyze these sons, you will know why. Not only out of a top sire, but a superb dam. She is very complete, very easy fleshing, deep bodied. His dam has a good of an udder as you can find. I expect great things out of this guy.

Every bull sells in his entirety, we know that when you pay a big premium to own a herd sire, that when a breeder keeps a share, it’s hard to recoup your investment. We do retain the right to collect 100 units of semen at our expense and your convenience for within herd use only. In case an AI stud buys the bull, we reserve the right to buy semen at cost as if we were a shareholder, but will not share in any revenue received.
Here is a long-bodied bull that has performed well throughout his life. He should complement cows that could use a little more length and frame. His dam is a hard working cow with a real good udder.

Here is a very light birth weight Elevate purebred, this bull is out of a 2-year-old heifer that did a very nice job on her maiden voyage. This bull is thick and moderate, well balanced and fancy. He is not the quietest bull yet is not a crazy one either. Just take note, he may not be the bull to run with the 4-H calves.

This is the bull that posts the heaviest weaning weight of all the bulls in the sale and is one of the youngest fall born bulls. It seems like when they are younger, they get a better 205 adjustment. I think his 205 weight is a little better than what it should be. Although I will tell you, he is out of a very heavy milking productive cow. No matter how you evaluate it, it still takes cow power to produce calves of his caliber.
Suggested Guidelines for using Yearling Bulls We are firm believers in the use of yearling bulls and feel it is one of the best years of their lives. It is a time when they are easy to manage and their only concern is breeding cows. We have found that yearling bulls that are managed carefully during the second year of their lives, not only do well, but they will perform better, over time. Below are some suggested guidelines for the care of yearling bulls. Upon delivery to your ranch, keep yearling bulls separate from older bulls and feed them a maintenance ration of 5-8 pounds per head of grain and free choice hay. Reduce the amount of grain fed gradually, so that bulls are on straight hay or grass 2-4 weeks prior to the breeding season. Where possible, try to limit the bulls to 45-60 days of pasture service the first year. At this time or as soon as possible, remove the bulls and put them in separate pastures with plenty of good quality grass. It is best to feed yearling bulls separate from older bulls until after their second breeding season. This allows them to achieve the growth and strength to compete with older bulls for feed and space. You will see the benefit of a little added cost and care of feeding a yearling bull by probably two or three more years of service from a well managed and healthy bull.

B D V R513 OF HART TRAVELER
Here is a herd bull deluxe, he is a full brother to our high selling Angus bull 2 years ago, expect the best with this bull. Active Duty bull certainly puts some performance in his sons and daughters. They are long, deep sided cattle, with the ability to convert grass to beef, we are extremely pleased with them. This bull’s dam is a daughter of Pioneer and she works hard and brings a powerful calf in year after year.

This is a very good performing bull with a 108 ratio at weaning. Out of a cow that has weaned 4 calves with a 109 average weaning index, she should earn her Pathfinder status. We believe that BDV Impact 410B is one of Capitalist best sons, and his dam was one of the elite Angus cows in our herd and possibly the Angus breed.

This is a thick moderate framed bull out of Capitalist, he is the last calf out of his 10-yearold dam. If you like cattle that are moderate framed, thick made and stay sensible sized, you might want to own this bull. Being sired by Capitalist, will enhance his already good dam’s udder quality and hardiness.

This bull is a thick son of Capitalist, one of the top Angus bulls of the Angus breed. The Capitalist daughters are very easy keeping, deep sided cattle with beautiful udders. His dam is a very nice High Point daughter that is working very well for us. He is bred to sire daughters that are the best.

This is a long strong fall bull, he will add a lot of length. He is very quiet and easy going. We goofed and forgot to lot him with the other fall bulls. The catalog was set up, and the bulls were lotted, so it was hard to put him in the fall group. We will run him in when the fall bulls come in.
QUICK GUIDE TO ASA EPDs AND $ INDEXES Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs): EPDs are the most accurate and effective tool available for comparing genetic levels. In using EPDs, the difference between two sires’ EPDs represents the unit difference expected in the performance of their progeny. For example, if sires A and B have EPDs of +10 and –5, a 15-unit difference would be expected in their progeny (moving from -5 to +10 yields 15 units). Key to using EPDs is knowing what units they are expressed in. For example, if the above case referred to weaning weight EPDs, A would be expected to sire 15-pounds more weaning weight than B. If calving ease were the trait, A would be expected to sire 15-percent more unassisted births in first-calf heifers; in other words, if B sired 30 assists in a group of 100 heifers, we’d expect A to require 15 assists. A percentile-ranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s EPDs rank him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPDs and $ indexes visit www.simmental.org. Listed below are the units ASA EPDs are expressed in: All-Purpose Index (API): Dollars per cow exposed under an all-purpose-sire scenario. (See below for more details.) Back Fat (BF): Inches of backfat. Birth Weight (BW): Pounds of birth weight. Calving Ease (CE): Percent of unassisted births when used on heifers. Carcass Weight (CW): Pounds of carcass weight. Maternal Calving Ease (MCE): Percent of unassisted births in first-calving daughters. Milk (MLK): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk. Marbling (MRB): Marbling score. Maternal Weaning Weight (MWW): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk and growth. Ribeye Area (REA): Square inches of ribeye. Warner-Bratzler Shear Force (WBSF): Pounds of force required to shear a steak.
28
Stayability (STAY): Percent of daughters remaining in the cowherd at 6 years of age. Terminal Index (TI): Dollars per cow exposed under a terminal-sire scenario. (See below for more details.) Weaning Weight (WW): Pounds of weaning weight. Yearling Weight (YW): Pounds of yearling weight. Yield Grade (YG): Yield grade score. $ Indexes: Though EPDs allow for the comparison of genetic levels for many economically important traits, they only provide a piece of the economic puzzle. That’s where $ indexes come in. Through well-conceived, rigorous mathematical computation, $ indexes blend EPDs and economics to estimate an animal’s overall impact on your bottom line. The same technology that led to the dramatic progress in swine, poultry and dairy genetics over the last several decades was used to develop the following $ indexes: All-Purpose Index (API): Evaluates sires for use on the entire cow herd (bred to both Angus first-calf heifers and mature cows) with the portion of their daughters required to maintain herd size retained and the remaining heifers and steers put on feed and sold grade and yield. Terminal Index (TI): Evaluates sire for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield. Using API and TI: First, determine which index to use; if you’re keeping replacements use API, if not, TI. Then, just as with EPDs, zero in on the unit difference between bulls. (As described above, index units are in dollars per cow exposed.) The difference can be used to determine how much a bull is worth compared to another. Or, put another way, how much you can pay for one bull compared to another. For example, when buying an all-purpose-type sire, you can quickly figure a bull scoring +100 for API is worth an extra $6,000 over a+50 bull if both are exposed to 30 cows over 4 years ($50 diff. x 30 hd. x 4 yr. = $6,000). A percentile-ranking chart is required to determine where a bull’s index value ranks him relative to other bulls in the breed. For percentile rankings or more detailed information about EPDs and $ indexes.
Simmental Reference sires QB BLUE PRINT
Blue Print has certainly sired a solid group of calves, both bulls and heifers that made the sale and replacement pen. His calves are born in the 90-95 lb range, they are very easy to spot, and identify as his. They are thick topped, deep sided, and deep rear quartered. His calves have that extra good look with excellent performance. He will sire pay weight and easy keeping cattle that are performance driven. I think every heifer made the replacement pen and his sons made the bull pen. There were several breeders who used him with excellent results. Everyone that bred to him say they have never used a bull with this much consistency, very unique, and useful.
believe that he will stay at that level. We are certain he is a calving ease bull with eye appeal and class. His daughters will be moderate size and fancy, Main Event looks to have excellent carcass traits.
TNT UNIFIED
We used Unified on a large number of heifers and he worked very well. His calves were born small and vigorous, he sires calves that are very clean made and still have an easy fleshing appearance. We think his daughters will be very nice cows that are easy to appreciate. We have retained a son that shows excellent promise as a calving ease sire with top performance.
BDV DEMAND 70D
RBS BOISE
We found Boise out in Minnesota, he was a sale highlight for Ruffy Brook Simmentals. He certainly caught a lot of attention and was used heavily throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Montana. Reports are calving ease, is heifer safe, and he sires them thick and deep. Some say he sired their top calves, others say you need to use him on your big cows. We find that he sires very good calving ease, and adds fleshing ability. We think his daughters will be a great addition to our cow herd. He sires cattle that are moderate and easy keeping.
QB DATA
This is a very good ½ Sim-Angus son out of the SAV Bismarck bull, and a Tanker dam. He was our pick out of 5 full embryo brothers. We are very pleased with his performance from calving, weaning, and onto yearling. These cattle are the ranchers’ kind, fancy, clean made, easy keeping, and his daughters look like they will make excellent cows. He sires cattle that wean heavy and will stop growing to make sensible sized cows that wean quality calves that weigh up at weaning.
QB IGNITE
We were in search for a baldy bull with no white on his underline and of top herd bull quality. When we found Ignite we knew right away we needed to own him. Ignite sires calves that are thick, deep bodied, and easy fleshing. Although he only has a small star on his forehead, no other white, he sires bald faced calves with minimal white on the belly. About half of his calves are solid black out of solid black cows. We are very pleased with his first calf crop. Ignite is very easy going with a great disposition, he is probably our easiest fleshing herd sire. He is a great addition to our program.
This Unlimited son is out of a top Dual Focus cow that has produced many of our top calves, both heifers and bulls. We retained him to sire the best when it comes to cattle that perform at a top level, and yet stay sensible sized with top maternal qualities. His sons are the cowman’s kind, his daughters will be some of the best.
CCR COWBOY CUT
Cowboy Cut is a bull that has become very popular across the nation. His calves are fancy cattle that are medium framed and are classy and easy on the eye. We used him on cows with good results. This is his third calf crop born here. They have been well accepted in the post. We think that his daughters will be shappy, clean made cows, with nice udders. Use him to add style to those moderate deep bodied shapey cows.
LRS TOP 10
We have used Top 10 on heifers and cows alike. He is a calving ease Specialist, that sires calves with an excellent EPD profile. His calves grow well and have plenty of frame. We have found him to be a sire to use on cattle that need some more frame. The Top 10 cattle were well accepted in previous sales. He is a big spread bull with top carcass EPD’s.
LRS RANGE BOSS
We have used Range Boss with excellent results, his calves are deep bodied, easy fleshing cattle that are moderate in size, yet he sires cattle that excel in performance. We are very excited with his daughters, as they look like cattle with superb fleshing ability. His sons are scale crushers, you will want to own one.
TNT PRIDE
BDV CORNERSTONE 194B
Cornerstone is a truly easy keeping, very quiet dispositioned bull we retained to use in our herd. He was kept to replace his sire Torque, our Mytty in Focus Angus bull that had excellent acceptance year after year. Cornerstone is a Sim-Angus ½ blood that sires them moderate in size, and as thick and deep sided as you need. We feel he is a true performance sire that will keep your mature cow size in check.
Pride was our choice out of TNT’s sale, he was the sale topper. Without a doubt, the most sought after bull in the sale. We are very happy with his calves, they are excellent performing cattle with a lot of class. His sons were very popular in our past sale, his daughters make the replacement pen with very few outs. We lost Pride due to an injury, but plan to use him heavily as an AI sire, he does everything right.
TJ MAIN EVENT
Main Event is a high API bull that we used on our virgin heifers. He certainly calved easily, his calves are clean made, quiet cattle, that are easy on the eye. His EPD’s say he ranks in the top 1% for weaning and yearling growth. I do not
Angus Reference sires CONNEALY GRANITE
We chose Granite to use in our AI program to use on heifers. He is very popular in both the seedstock and commercial world. Granite calved very well, and we used him on both Angus and Simmental females. We are pleased with the outcome.
CONNEALY CAPITALIST
Without reservation, he is still our choice of the Angus breed. His calves are born easily and grow very well. What he does better than any Angus bull we
have ever used, he puts volume and rear ends in his progeny like no other. His calves wean heavy, but mature out to be moderate easy fleshing cattle. His daughters are deep, bug volume cattle and have excellent udders.
BDV IMPACT 410B
Our Capitalist herd sire that is out of a flawless Travler 004 daughter. He sires them thick, heavy at weaning, with added fleshing ability and capacity. He sires excellent maternal qualities. His dam and granddam were some of the top Angus cows we have owned, and possibly in the Angus bred.
