a guide to a healthy p
anyway? it sounds complicated...
so, what can i do for a healthy ?
Don’t be overwhelmed! pH (potential of hydrogen) is simply a numeric scale that measures acidity and alkalinity. The lower the pH, the more acidic; the higher the pH, the more alkaline.
An important step to increasing alkalinity is reducing the intake of acid-forming foods and increasing the intake of alkaline-forming foods. The ideal ratio is 75% alkaline-forming: 25% acid-forming foods.

Unfortunately for the majority of us, our “dietary pH” is often too acidic, causing imbalances that can show up as: Constipation and frequent bloating Brittle nails, dull skin tone and hair

The various systems of your body have specific pH levels that are kept tightly regulated within a specific range. When the diet is too acidic, the body works to balance the acid load in order to keep these pH levels stable – potentially at the cost of your overall health!

The Science behind
and
:
While the ingredients in greens+ are naturally highly-alkalizing, research confirms the hugely beneficial effects of the greens+ formula on pH levels. It’s the synergy of the ingredients together in this unique formula that is PROVEN to make the difference something that just cannot be achieved by eating alkaline foods alone.
Study #1 A study at University of Toronto showed significant change in urinary pH when measured daily for 14 days after the introduction of greens+ in otherwise healthy adults1*. 62% of participants were found to have a highly significant shift, resulting in a two-fold difference overall in the alkalinity of the urine - confirming that greens+ makes a difference in improving human alkalinity.
Study #2 When evaluated in an in-vitro study – the PRAL (Potential Renal Acid Load - or effect on urinary pH) measure of greens+ was found to be double the avvlkalinity of spinach and raisins, the most negative PRAL foods2. 1 Berardi JM, Logan AC, Rao AV. Plant-based dietary supplement increases urinary pH. J Int Soc Sports Nutr 2008;5:20. * urinary pH was measured for 7 days to establish a baseline 2 Enviro Test Laboratories, Edmonton
Balancing your pH depends on elements of your lifestyle too! Other ways to become more alkaline, include: Reducing and/or eliminating stress
Exercising regularly
Reducing and/or eliminating medications
Practicing deep belly breathing throughout the day
How to Measure your with Genuine Health
paper
For the best results, test your pH for 30 days, 3 times daily, approximately 2 hours away from meals. You can use urine or saliva; however urine often provides a more accurate reading. The first reading should be done at the time of your first urinary void.
#1 Tear off a strip (approximately 2.5 cm or 1 inch long).
#2 If using urine, place the pH paper in
direct contact at mid-stream or into a cup containing a urine sample. If you are using saliva, do not let the strip touch your mouth or tongue. Instead, collect a sample of your saliva in a spoon or cup and dip the pH paper in.
#3 Once the paper makes contact,
immediately compare its colour to the colour-coded chart on the pH dispenser.
#4 Write down your results each time. Continue this for 30 days.
An ideal pH range is between 6.2 to 7.4, typically fluctuating as follows: Morning: 6.2 to 7.0
Afternoon 6.6 to 7.2
Evening 7.0 to 7.4
If your pH level reads consistently as 5.5 or less, it’s time to make greens+ a daily part of your pH balancing act! Even if you feel okay now - your health could be at risk over the long-term.
