IN 2001, Haseeb Pirzada founded Art of Glass, a wholesale company, selling locally and internationally made glass pipes and other products to bodegas, head shops, and other area businesses. At first, Haseeb was making deliveries himself, running the entire business out of a truck that he also used to stock his merchandise. The truck served as Art of Glass’s first store, warehouse, and delivery vehicle.
In those days, products had to be loaded into the truck, unpacked for display to businesses interested in purchasing, and what wasn’t sold had to be repacked back into the truck again for safe keeping. This was far from ideal, especially when transporting fragile merchandise like artisan glassware.
Desiring an easier way to display products for potential customers, Haseeb, leased a storefront on Delaware Avenue (3497 Delaware Ave). The space would become Art of Glass’s product showroom. Now, instead of having to frequently pack and unpack fragile glass, clients could simply stop by the showroom and take a look for themselves. Intending to stick to the wholesale model, the thought of opening a retail store hadn’t even crossed Haseeb’s mind. This space was intended to be a showroom, not a store front.
But as curious on-lookers began to walk by the showroom, many people started wandering in and inquiring about how they could purchase the products that were on display. After countless interactions with people that had discovered the showroom, Art of Glass smoke shop was born. The showroom had organically evolved into a full-fledged retail store. Haseeb brought on a partner on the retail end of things, Joseph Direitinho. Achieving substantial success at their first location on Delaware, the two decided to open up a second retail location on Niagara Falls Boulevard, in Amherst (3154 Niagara Falls Blvd). As they both work towards building the brand of the distribution center & the local retail market.
You’ll find a wide selection of both locally and internationally made glass at both of Art of Glass’s locations. Art of Glass’s unmatched wholesale relationships means you’ll find some of the coolest and most sought after products available at their stores. They also have full walk-in humidors available at both locations for the cigar lovers out there. Both locations are constantly running deals that can save you money on the products you love. You can spin a wheel of fortune to win deals at their store on the Boulevard and their end of year and 4/20 deals provide some of the best value deals around.
And still Art of Glass wholesale remains a thriving business; selling a wide variety of products to many local area businesses and to clients nationwide. The wholesale business quickly outgrew 1,500 and 5,000 sq ft facilities in Tonawanda before moving into their current 17,000 sq ft facility in Cheektowaga.
Their new warehouse functions similar to a SAM’s club for local businesses looking to stock their shelves with glass and ancillary cannabis products. Customers can come right in, grab a shopping cart and explore the many aisles of products they have available. Customers pay for the items they want to buy (cash and carry) and are on their way to resell the items at their own stores for their own customers to enjoy.
Whether you’re an individual or a business looking to buy, Art of Glass has you covered. Come explore the Art of Glass!
