CLIMATE Heat flow from the buildings causes the entrances to be hottest The large central concrete spaces appear much colder in comparison

MOVEMENT The shapes represent the type of activity taking place and the number of rings shows the intensity
The most common section of movement was through the central passage due to its convenient access to and from the surrounding buildings
Temporal diagram shows the intensity of each event during a given time of day

SPATIAL COMPOSITION
week 4 The spiked form was created by projecting each triangle upwards from the horizontal elements of a grid
PLAN
A portal frame was then created due to the continual repetition of each element

LANDFORMING
week 5 PLAN
Form inspired by the rupture of mud seen at Rotorua, NZ.
Extrusion is represented through the exploding curved forms, whereas subtraction is created by the crevices between each element

ASSEMBLAGE week
6 PLAN
Disjunction is created through the interplay of the spiked and the curved form against one-another Tension arises through then bending and contortion of each element as the push against and weave within each other
1:1 @ A3
Warping of the spiked form as it competes with the with the landform.

SPATIO-TEMPORAL NARRATIVE week

MEETING DEMISE
Every day is the same. Nothing has changed for years now. The infection spread, it was a pandemic with the symptoms horrific. People were quarantined. Countries on lock down. Violent protests erupted. There were no options. The clash of disease against our race lead the populace of earth to meet its demise.
Everyone was left lifeless. Everyone I loved. Everyone but me. I remember my wife standing there in our living room. So pale. So lifeless. Sick. Oh how I miss her. I can almost imagine her. But I know she’s never truly here. She’s gone.
SUPERIMPOSITION COLLAGE
week 8
COLLAGE
PLAN
Super imposition created through overlaying elements from site analysis and site map, spatio-temporal collage and assemblage plan. The result of this overlay was an abstract site plan that is chaotic due the conflicting forms that are within each layer. The super imposition formed the basis of my overall site plan through the refining and simplifying of elements
EXPERIENCE week
9
MATERIAL: CONCRETE EMPHASIS: Creating an environment that reflects the spatio-temporal narrative of post apocalyptic decay and destruction. To give a sense of function to the space and the type of events that would take place during a pandemic outbreak such as the loss of life, quarantining and extermination of those infected. Materiality such as the use of rubble and monumental concrete panels demonstrates a sense of destruction but also the operation to control those infected. This representation in conjunction with the armed forces and hazmat operations creates a chaotic environment.
