EDUCATION Georgetown Independent School District serves students living in Georgetown, Texas, the county seat in Williamson County. Georgetown ISD serves over 12,100 students at ten elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, and two alternative campuses.

Students are designing and launching rockets through the SystemsGo program. In 2019, four student teams successfully launched rockets carrying scientific payloads 1 mile high. The cosmetology program allows students to graduate from high school prepared to take a licensing exam and immediately go into the workforce. With 25 college, career and military programs and 69 CTE pathways, there is a program designed to fit the interests of every student. Fine arts are thriving in Georgetown ISD. Music programs are awardwinning and providing quality family-friendly programming for our community on a regular basis. Visual art students have been featured in the city’s art program and currently have art displayed on utility boxes downtown at Austin Ave and 8th Street, Austin Ave and 2nd Street, and Austin Ave and 7th Street.
