National Award-Winning Library

In 2018, the Georgetown Public Library was one of 10 recipients of the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, the nation’s highest honor given to museums and libraries that make significant and exceptional contributions to their communities. It was only the second library in Texas to ever win the National Medal. In 2019, Georgetown Public Library Director, Eric Lashley, was named Librarian of the Year by the Texas Library Association.
