ADVENTURE AWAITS Georgetown has 40 parks and more than 16 miles of hike and bike trails. Here are just a few of the outdoor places to enjoy. SAN GABRIEL PARK Located at the confluence of the North and South forks of the San Gabriel River, San Gabriel Park is graced with 200-year-old oak trees that offer shady spots for family picnics. The 180-acre park also provides space for concerts and festivals, as well as fields for soccer and baseball. The nearby McMaster Athletic Complex consists of four softball fields. A hike and bike trail goes through the park, including a 1.6-mile loop in the park and nearly nine miles of hike and bike trails along the North and South San Gabriel Rivers. BARK PARK This public, off-leash dog park is located in a beautiful pecan grove at 151 Holly Street. The dog park is situated on approximately six acres featuring separate areas for small dogs and large dogs. There is also a dog park located in the Sun City retirement community. SPLASH PAD A 1,656-square foot Splash Pad is located at San Jose Park. Another Splash Pad can be found downtown next to the Art Center.

Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the Good Water Trail, a sixteen-mile trail that follows the southern side and much of the northern side of the lake. An extension of this trail brings the total distance to over twenty-four miles. GAREY PARK This park is primed to be Georgetown’s flagship park. Nestled along the San Gabriel River, the 525-acre ranch was donated to the City in 2004.
