Dear Parents, Teachers, Students and Guest: Welcome to the 56th Anniversary of the Miss Central Pageant! On behalf of the Central Gwinnett High School PTSA, we are proud to present to you the 20132014 Miss Central, Miss Junior, Miss Sophomore, and Miss Freshman Pageants. Each year the pageants serve as a fun-filled learning experience for our contestants. It also serves as one of our only sources of fundraising for our school aside from our annual PTSA membership dues. Pageant proceeds are used for scholarships awarded to select graduating seniors, and to support other PTSA programs such as Reflections and the Homecoming Parade. Numerous individuals and organizations deserve credit for making our programs a reality. On behalf of the PTSA, we would like to thank each of our sponsors and volunteers for their support. A special thank you goes to everyone who has graciously shared their time and talent. Without you, this pageant would not have been possible. Once again, thank you for your support of the PTSA. We know you will enjoy these pageants as much as we have enjoyed working with these wonderful young women.

MR. CHAD DEAL – MASTER OF CEREMONIES Chad Deal is in his 19th year as a band director and his 7th year at CGHS. He has a Bachelor's of Music Education from Troy State University and a Master's in Post Secondary Education from Troy University. Mr. Deal regularly serves as the Master of Ceremonies for CGHS pep rallies and the occasional faculty meeting. Prior to joining the faculty of CGHS, Mr. Deal taught for 7 years in South Georgia and 5 years in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is pretty sure he met Elvis. Mr. Deal enjoys Jazz and Techno music, but not at the same time. On rainy nights he listens to circus marches and reminisces about the old times.

Angela R. Monetta Originally from South Georgia, Angela earned a Bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University. She relocated to Gwinnett County in 2000, and her professional experience is in physician recruiting and medical staff administration. These days, Angela has returned to college pursuing a “Second Career” and is enrolled in the Biology Track to Teacher Certification at Georgia Gwinnett College. Excited about this path, she is studying to teach the content areas of Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology in a Title I high school. Angela is listed as an accredited pageant judge with the Miss Georgia Scholarship Pageant, and she co-founded the Miss Archer Scholarship Program in 2009, as Archer’s founding PTA President. She served as Co-President of the Archer Academic Foundation, served 4 years on AHS’ school council, served as the 2008 Co-President of Gwinnett PTA, and is a graduate of the Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute. She earned leadership certificates through Georgia PTA’s Keys to Leadership Success, the Stephen R. Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People training, and received the prestigious PTA Founder’s Award. In 2009, she received the honor of a Lifetime Membership Award from Georgia PTA for her service to PTAs in Gwinnett. For 8 years, she has taught children’s Sunday school, and she created an active-learning, Kid’s Church for the children. Her free time is full of activities with her husband and youngest son, and she enjoys traveling to Florida to visit her oldest son in college.
