PRIVATE HOME. Complete design of house, garden and interior in the area of Reykjavik. The “Akra” area is very dense, and short distances between the houses. Instead of opening up to the surrounding we tried to shape the garden as a part of the building. Materials are, aluminum, white painted walls, concrete and lava rocks. The inside is kept simple by using few materials. Kitchen and bath are covered with granite as well as the area around the fire place. Oak covers the floors in all the other rooms. Glass and leader gives the entrance a distinguished touch.
INSTEAD OF OPENING UP TO THE SURROUNDING WE TRIED TO SHAPE THE GARDEN AS A PART OF THE BUILDING.

SAMSKIP HEADQUARTERS
Samskip Headquarters house the company’s head offices and main warehouse center. The offices are designed as an open office landscape near the ocean views, backed with individual offices and meeting rooms faci ng the warehouse. The building reflects the shipping company’s maritime nature, by the use of corten steel and profiled glass which introduces an aquatic quality to the spaces.
DELOITTE designed as free flowing office landscapes
Deloitte Headquarters for Iceland are located in the Smaratorg office tower where the firm occupies 5 floors. Reception, cafeteria and conference facilities are centrally located on the 9th floor, but offices occupy floors 7, 8, 10 and 11. Those levels are designed as free flowing office landscapes divided into smaller work areas by small meeting rooms and break areas. The spaces are filled with daylight, and the light furniture is contrasted by the dark gray flooring and bright accent colors.
LANDIC PROPERTIES
The headquarters of the real estate firm Landic Properties The ideas behind the design were ingenuity and modern design. Chapter from the Icelandic sagas were among other things carved into the glass that was used for partitions and the walls. Important aspect of the overall look and feel was a bright and open/flowing workspace.

SPÖNGIN HOUSING AND CULTURAL CENT ER
Cultural and community center with connected housing for the elderly Sponging is a community center in the Reykjavik suburbs with existing retail and basic services. The need for a cultural and community center is met with the new development. The center will house various activities of the city municipal, such as a city library, the community center Miðgarður, the association of the elderly, in addition to a cafeteria, meeting hall and outside area for cultural activities. The church and the police will also be situated in the house. Various services for the elderly will also be housed on the 2nd floor of the building. The housing for the elderly is connected to the service center and includes an indoor connection that runs through the housing development. The planning concept of the housing area is to create a unified, low rise building complex with sheltered gardens and indoor connection to all services for the elderly. This is possible with the “snake” like structure that bends back and forth to create pockets of garden area. The buildings step up and down from 1-4 floors allowing maximum sunlight to the garden area as well as opportunity for roof top gardens. Project info - Community center / 111 apartments - Finish 2010

The primary idea is to separate the main functions into two clearly defined units, connected with a central circulation and reception area.
Khurmall spa / kurdistan The spa itself is on one side, and the management, reception, shop, employee-rooms and restaurant on the other. The open space in between these shall have the character of a lively square with people, vegetation and running water. This could have the character of a indoor garden that extends to the outdoor garden beyond.
