THE TRADITIONAL IRISH SNUG PACKAGE
The Traditional Irish Snug is a new and innovative concept, developed in response to feedback from clients across Europe, Canada and the USA, they requested a high quality Irish Bar product that would also have minimum downtime during installation. The result is the Irish Corner. Conceived by our in-house specialist team of Architects and Interior designers, we design our Snugs so that they become an integral part of each client's existing establishment. Each Irish Snug is fully assembled prior to delivery to ensure a smooth fit and to ensure that its installation causes a minimum of disturbance to both trading and customers. All Snugs are suitable for a wide range of sites such as: • Airport lobbies • Train stations • Sports arenas • Hotel lobbies or any large scale site with 800 to 2000 sqft available. All elements of GGD’s bars are finely crafted in our workshops in Ireland. Using only the best people in the business. We create not only a pub but a whole concept, supplying everything from the back bar units to the most beautiful glasswork, furniture and bricabrac, giving not only a pub but an atmosphere that is comparable to any pub in Ireland which would not be attainable were it not designed and built by those who know how!
What you get for your money in physical terms are solid counters, ornate screens, hand carved back-bar units and decorative mirror work. All hand crafted in authentic fashion and shipped directly to your premises from Ireland. The traditional "snugs" or compartments with high screens and glasswork complete the design. The package also includes complimentary designs for furniture layouts, walls, floors and ceiling finishes.

THE COUNTRY SHOP PUB The Country Shop Pub derives from a time in small rural communities where the shopkeeper would double as a publican.
A side of the shop would be given over to the pub furnished with trestle tables and stools. The over all look would be rustic, rough and ready. Decoration would be provided by the open roof beams and the white washed walls and of course the open fireplace. The colour would be supplied by the groceries, stacked to the ceiling all about the premises. Pictured is "the Keg" in Hamilton in Canada. A stunning Example of originality, eclectically designed yet with a continuity of theme. The style consists of old counters and display cabinets, in which old shop bricabrac can be displayed. This if done properly, can become an integral part of the theme of the country shop pub. Setting up continuity and a sense of originality.

THE COUNTRY COTTAGE
The Style derives from the traditional stone and thatch roofed cottages of Ireland. These were rustic houses, built of local quarried stone, the walls were roughly plastered and white washed, with flagged floors and open rafters in the ceiling.
Furniture consisted of wooden benches, settle-seats and trestle tables, usually arranged around a large open fireplace, in which a kettle would constantly be on the boil. In essence the look is very simple and uncomplicated, with colour added from the stacks of bricabrac (pots and crockery, horse brasses etc.) strewn on shelves proliferated throughout the establishment.

The Victorian pub
Quintessentially the most ornate and finely crafted of pubs. The Victorian bar made use of the finest craftsmen and materials, to turn out some of the most outstanding interiors. Some of which remain unchanged to this very day. The Victorian bar reminicent of Grecian temples, with handcarved pediments and turned columns, sporting rich finely detailed foliation. Some of these units would be three meters in height. This style complimented by the use of decorative glass, carved screens, bevelled gilt edged mirrors, brass and mosaics makes the Victorian Bar a lavish affair. The Snug, first seen in the Victorian Bar, originally used so ladies could sit and have tea unperturbed by the male customers.

BRIC-A-BRAC
An important element in any authentic Irish Pub is the bric-a-brac and memorabilia that adds detail to the character and atmosphere. It comes in many forms often old brewery related articles to prints and postcards to various bits of furniture and even old farm implements like ploughs and donkey carts. We can with the aid of our bric-a-brac specialists attain almost any article of memorabilia, all original not reproduction.
Bric-a-brac can be used to personalise your pub for example one could use a literary theme celebrating the great writers such as Joyce or Yeats. Another could be a sporting theme or music. There is a wealth to chose from. The final look is one in which you would think you just walked in off a Dublin street to a fine old Irish Pub.
