Announcements! Principals Message Dear Granger High School Community, The 2016-2017 school year is quickly coming to an end! With only 2 weeks to go, we would like to ask for your support in making sure our students continue attending school. Our faculty and staff take great pride in the continual effort of providing our students with learning opportunities. We know that Granger High School is a great place for students. The end of the year is a busy time with so many activities and events taking place. We hope to see you at many of the year-end events as we celebrate all of our success and accomplishments. Graduation! · The Class of 2017 will be graduating on May 26, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Maverik Center. · There is a mandatory graduation practice for all students participating in graduation. This practice will be held at Granger High School on May 26, 2017 at 8:00 A.M. in the auditorium. The senior awards banquet will be on May 23, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at Granger High School. · Students who have received an invitation should RSVP by May 16. · Parents/guardians who are planning on attending need to pay at the bookkeeper’s window by May 16th. · Turn in your RSVP form in G210. Yearbooks are still on sale at JostensYearbooks.com -- buy one now for $45. The Aqua Stomp—A Yearbook Pool Party May 24, 7-10 pm Free for students who pre-paid for yearbooks; $5 for all other Granger students --Yearbooks will not be delivered early this year. Yearbook Delivery and Signing Day May 25, ~9:00 a.m. All yearbooks will be delivered after graduation practice on May 25 in the courtyard. Drama Department Buy Tickets for our Drama Academy Awards banquet online at www.grangertheatre.com. Parents, Alumni and Current students are all invited! Tickets are $15 for dinner and the evening or $5 for just the evening. If you are a club member or an ALUMNI your evening ticket is free! (Dinner would be only $10 for you!) The event is on May 18th at 6pm for Dinner and 7pm for the awards show. Evening of One Acts will be on Monday, May 22nd from 3-6pm. Come and see 10 student directed, acted, written, designed, choreographed, sung and devised one acts! This performance is presented by the Theatre 2,3 and Advanced Theatre classes. Come see funny, heartwarming, inspiring, devised works of theatre completely done by the students themselves! Granger High School Food Pantry Here at Granger we are lucky enough to have a food pantry. It is available to students who may not have any food at home. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please go to the counseling center. Celebrations!

We want to give a shout out to all those who worked on the “Empty Bowls fundraiser” that took place on Saturday, May 6th- great work! Each bowl that we sold equaled 22 meals to feed our homeless friends. Way to reach out and be a true Lancer!

Lancer PRIDE Expectations This year our focus’ for Lancer Pride are to be Thoughtful, Empowered, and Connected. Attendance We are thoughtful by respecting ourselves, peers, teachers and staff when we are in class on time and on task. We are empowered when we are aware of the daily bell schedule. We are connected to our school family and show school pride when we attend all classes, on time, every day. Classroom Behavior We are thoughtful and respectful with our voices and the language we use. We are empowered by tracking and improving our academic progress. We are connected to our school family and show school pride by being prepared and participating in classroom activities regularly. Dress for Learning We are thoughtful and respectful of ourselves and others in our choice of dress, hairstyles, grooming and appearance to not be disruptive. We are empowered by creating a safe and educational environment by our choice of dress. We are connected to our school family and show school pride when we know and follow the appropriate dress and hygiene standards.
