Parent Teacher Conferences are on February 12th and 13th from 4:30 P.M. till 7:30 P.M. Because of this Friday, February 16th is a compensation day for parent teacher conferences and there is no school.
Reminder! The number for Attendance is 385-646-5337 and the Counseling Center is 385-646-5321. Parents, please remember to use these numbers when calling in to check –out a student or excuse a student, or check on their students attendance. If you want to check on your students credits or schedules! Thank you for your cooperation in making these things happen as effieciently as possible.
Mobile Clinics!

ACT Testing
ACT testing will be February 27th. Juniors will be testing from 7:30 A.M. to approximately 12:20 P.M. The test will include English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing Sections. Please eat a good breakfast on test day. We will provide two 15 minute snack breaks during testing. If you have an approved ACT calculator, please bring it that day. All teachers will be made available from 1:00 P.M. – 2:10 P.M. for Intervention/Extension to meet with students. GTI busses will run on normal schedule.
Honor Roll
If you made it on the honor roll, which is 3.5 and above and you would like a printed certificate, head over to the career center to sign up for your honor roll card. In addition, we are rewarding all of our honor roll students for 2nd quarter with a free taco. The taco stand will be here on February 8th during 1st and 2nd lunches and will be located in the front of the school. To get your taco, see Mrs. Petty in the career center for a ticket. Keep up the good work lancers!
Clear the Air Challenge
Come sign up for the Clear the Air Challenge as a Granger Team Member! The Clear the Air Challenge, issued by business, government and community leaders, is a month long competition starting February 1st that gives you the chance to reduce your vehicle emissions by choosing alternatives to driving alone. This year Granger High is sponsoring a team! By driving less and driving smarter, you will ultimately help improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion and conserve energy in Utah. Advanced Theatre
This year our Advanced Theatre Presents: “The 39 Steps: A Live Radio Play”. This play is the thrilling spy story of the 39 steps told through a 1940’s Radio Show!! The show is Feb 2-6th at 7pm. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. VIP Passes available. Buy 4 for 1 night and get the 5th free! We are performing all the sound effects live as you listen and watch a riveting spy story about the 39 steps! We even have Alfred Hitchcock references in the commercials! This show is also only an hour long so it’s sure to be a thrilling ride! Children’s choir (ages 8-13) Auditions
Attention Parents! We will have one more round of auditions for the children’s choir (ages 8-13) in GHS’s production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” These auditions will be from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M. on Tuesday, February 6th in the black box theatre. You will learn and perform a song at the audition. Rehearsals will be weekdays from 4 to 5 p.m., with extended rehearsals the week before the show. Performance dates are March 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th.
Music Concerts
Join the Instrumental Music groups for two evenings of entertainment! Tuesday February 20th will be Orchestra Night, featuring the Concert and String Orchestras, as well as the Guitar Ensemble. Wednesday February 21st will be Band Night, with the Symphonic and Concert Bands, joined by the Percussion Ensemble. Both shows begin at 7.00 PM in the Black Box Theatre and are free to the public. We hope to see you there!
GHS Food Pantry
Here at Granger we are lucky enough to have a food pantry. It is available to students who may not have any food at home. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please go to the counseling center.
Citizenship Make-Up
Seniors, Citizenship make-up occurs at Granger every day. In order to walk at Graduation, students must have a minimum 2.0 CPA to graduate. Citizenship is earned based on your attendance to classes. If you are below a 2.0 in CPA, you must complete hours to improve your CPA. Saturday School
Our next Saturday School will be February 24th, from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Students need to bring homework or something to work on, and no electronic devices are allowed.

Brynleigh Rosier has been named a candidate in the 2018 Presidential Scholar Program in the Visual Arts! This is the first year our district has participated in this program and receiving the nomination is a high honor. The next step Brynleigh will take in the process is to complete the electronic application before Feb 27th. Please congratulate and encourage Brynleigh when you see her. Our GHS wrestling team beat Hunter 42-27 in a dual to WIN the Region Championship. Congratulations to the wrestling team for winning the Championship. Good Luck at divisionals and state! Come cheer on the Excaliburs as they compete for a spot in the State Finals! Finals are scheduled for 5 P.M. on February 3 at UVU. Anjelus Lettig finished 1st and Maria Alvarado 2nd in the Region Drill Down on January 20th!
